I channeled the following when I began to think about seed catalogs and what my garden would be like this year. I decided to create a co-creative garden. That is a garden about which the garden devas are consulted by the gardener. They (the devas) know how to balance the energies of the land. Placement of buildings, garden plots, trees and bushes are important to the flow of energy on the land. I have begun to work with the devas. They have helped me to mark off the boundaries of the garden and make a map of plantings. This year the original plot is to be expanded almost four times the original size and a new plot is being added in the orchard.
I read the "Perelandra Garden Workbook" by Machaelle Small Wright. Her book helped me a great deal. I could have used a pendulum to get the answers to the questions I had to ask. If you know how to use a pendulum, you may use that method to ask "yes" and "no" questions of the devas. Or, you may use the Kinesiology testing position recommended by Machaelle Wright. Her method only takes one person to do the testing, so you can ask the questions without having a partner help you.
My method is a little different. I use my right fore finger as a pendulum. I lay my hand on a table, my lap, against my side, or on the object I am asking about. This is how to do it:
Lay your right hand on a flat surface such as a table or lay your hand against your thigh. Look at your right fore finger. If you are left handed try using your left hand and fore finger. As you move your finger up and down, say "Up and down means Yes." As you move your finger from side to side, say "From side to side means "No." Do this several times. You are programming your inner computer.
Now, you need to practice. Ask yourself a question that you are sure of the correct answer, such as your name. Say, "Is my name (your correct name)so and so?" You notice that the question is formed so that the answer can only be "yes" or "no." Your finger should move up and down! If not you need to practice programming your inner computer again. After you have asked several questions that can be only answered with "Yes," ask yourself questions that can only be answered with "No." These are questions that you know the information is wrong. Such as, giving the wrong name when you ask the question. Practice is important. Next, ask questions that you don't know the answer to, but have easy access to. If nothing happens, usually the question wasn't clear or was not formatted to receive a "yes" or "no" answer. In the beginging, writing down the question before you ask it helps you to see if your question is foremated corectly. Questions need to be short. You may give the background first, then ask the question. If the question has multiple parts, make each segment into a separate question.
I have used this method in the grocery store for many years. I lay my hand on a watermelon and ask if it is sweet and juicy. If the answer is yes, I put the watermelon in my cart. If the answer is no, I try another one. If I keep getting "no" for an answer, I ask if any of the watermelons are sweet and juicy. If I get "no" for an answer I don't buy a watermelon that day! I never come home with a watermelon that isn't sweet and juicy. This method works for any fruit or vegetable. No more mistakes! Sometimes I hold my hand down against my side. Nobody notices this, so I am not making a spectacle of myself. Using this method has helped me to open my senses to the energies around me.
In working with the garden devas, I need to be somewhat knowledgeable. A good organic gardening book helps me to know what questions to ask. Sometimes I get an intuitive idea and I will ask if I should do it. Often the answer is "yes." Sometimes the answer is "no." I am sure the garden devas are helping me to think of methods to use in the garden.

I want to communicate with the Landscape Deva. I am interested in working with the Garden Devas. I want their input in planning the garden, the size, shape of it and what plants will grow there and their needs. All of this must meet my needs and the needs of Scott, my husband. I am requesting help in making the connection with the Devas. Thanks.
Hello, we are the composium. We have heard your request to communicate with the devas. We honor that request. We will work through the proper channels to assist you in opening the communication channel you desire. We have a suggestion for you. We want you to sit in your chair and read the book of gardening and working with devas. Read for a while and then request the presence of the landscape deva and it will come. Know in your heart that the channel is easy to open and it will open easily for you. The divas want to communicate with anyone who wishes to cooperate with them.

I am the Garden Deva I have come at your request. I will help you to formulate a garden plan that will benefit you, the land and the plant devas. Your garden shall prosper this year because of your willingness to cooperate with us. I am a very strong energy. You are feeling my strength in the heavy ness that you feel now. I will come again. Walk your garden; that is the area that you want to become your garden, and I will help you to know the shape and size of it. The layout will come to you from me. I will consider each plant and its needs carefully. Protect yourself while you work. The weight of my presence is much for you, but if we communicate often, you will become stronger and become used to the heaviness of my presence. I go now.

All I had to do was request a communication and I got it! The reason I got it, was I did not let FEAR get in the way. I just sat down with the expectation that I would receive what I wanted. Appleseed Jack and Sharrie are fairies that live on my land. I channeled paintings of them last fall. You will find them on this site in the gallery.
The Garden Deva gave me the size and shape of the garden and helped me to choose the seeds to be planted and even gave the order of planting in each row. I'll let you know how it comes out as the garden progresses.
