When I was a little girl I couldn't wait for my mother to empty the mixing bowl.  I was covered with sweet cookiedough from one ear to the other.

We used to visit my grandparents on the holidays.  My mother and my grandmother spent days in the kitchen baking their favourite pastries.  They have pulled out an old notebook full of delicious recipes.  The pages were greasy, covered with flour and smelt like vanilla.

I will share these recipes with you the way I remember them.

Almond Double Chip Cookies
