Another day….How am I ever gonna make it to the end of my notice period? About five days done, another 55 to go. And it’s Sadie’s last day tomorrow. Oh joy!

Was not feeling so chipper again. I suspect the chillie. Will throw the rest in the bin now. Came home early last night, went to bed before six and slept till the alarm went off this morning. Feel better now.

But it is sooo hot now – summer really started. We must have over 30 degrees already in the morning. Hot, hot, hot!

Seriously pissed someone off at work today, I am soooo fed up! So I better get this sorted soon. Arghhhhh! I can’t think about anything else anymore. Been for a couple of beers tonight. Everybody else is talking about their summer holidays at the moment. Ugh! Pleaaase, just tell me, so I can also get the fuck out of here! Before I go insane!

Sadie was so fed-up today, that she handed in her notice. Go, girl!
Since I had that food poisoning 2 weeks ago, I am totally off tea and only had like 3 cups of coffee since. Am going easy on the food as well. Nonetheless went on a major shopping spree at the supermarket today. My fridge was sooooo empty!
So, excusez-moi, but I have to go cooking before Stargate starts! Ok, I’m sad….but I was actually out last night, all right?

T
his month is really taking it out of me. I was sick - food poisoning - and work is especially unpleasant at the moment. I just don't feel like writing much. I promise improvement.....

The Friday Five:

1. What's the last vivid dream that you remember having?
This morning, I dreamt I was in London and I lost my handbag with all papers and such in the upper floor of a shopping mall, I was trying to retrieve it but could not find a lift or escalator that went up to the correct level and I kept running around in various departments. Up, down, around, I was either to high up or to low or at the same level, but without a connection to where I knew my things were. Very frustrating. (Might have to do with the fact that I bought a new game for my Gamboy Advance......)

2. Do you have any recurring dreams?

Not anymore. I used to as a teenager. There was this dream, where I was in a dark tunnel. Exiting the tunnel, I would fall into a bottomless black depth, with colour swirls flying around me. I had that dream for years and always felt pretty unsettled by it.

3. What's the scariest nightmare you've ever had?
In a dream my dad died. It was so real. I woke up really scared and not sure if I had had a dream or if it was reality. I had to get up and check if he was still alive.

4. Have you ever written your dreams down or considered it?

Why or why not? No. Why not? Don’t know, never occurred to me. Not interested. I also rarely remember my dreams. Would not have much to write about…

5. Have you ever had a lucid dream?
What did you do in it? Yep, this morning, one of my attempts to reach my handbag led me to the toy-department. I sat in a scooter, started it and took off and flew around the shopping center in it, past some massive Star Wars posters….

I have been a bad diarist, but there was just so much going on and I was so pre-occupied and knackered most of the time….. I will fill you in on the details, when the time comes......Strictly Need-to-know........ this is an open diary, remember? Anybody can read it...... Gosh, I think I am reading too many spy-novels.....

Anyway, I was one a 10-day holiday to Sri Lanka. Nice beach, Colombo was not too interesting, though. Pretty stressful, actually, with all that flying around.

The Friday Five:

1. What shampoo do you use?
At the moment Clairol Daily Defense for Fine Hair. But I buy a different shampoo every time, to avoid build-up.

2. Do you use conditioner? What kind?
Nope.

3. When was the last time you got your hair cut?
Christmas. My dad cut it with a Flowbee. I usually cut it myself! It’s only about 3 cm long, I do it with a Phillishave…..

4. What styling products do you use?
None, what you see is what you get. I blow-dry my hair, so it stands up, that’s it.

5. What's your worst hair-related experience?
What’s the big deal, it’s only 3cm long, whatever happens, grows out in about 2 months….

Ever wondered if I am the only non-Egyptian person  living here that thinks this country is strange? Go and have a look at Walters' World, that's the site of my colleague Steve. It's worth a look, although he is actually funnier live!
