Big Sky, MT
Here's a few of our pictures from a week at Big Sky, south of Bozeman; it was cloudy or foggy most of the week so I had to borrow one picture from the guidebook. The only sunny day we spent at Bridger Bowl, but I forgot my camera that day.
Apres ski, day one -- Steve doesn't have a Corona because he left his head on the table.
Hey, our favorite kind of slope! Of course, we had another favorite sign ... "Ferme". We chose to interpret it as "This run is meant FER ME !". Unless it was a BIG cliff.
Lone Peak at sunset -- the best skiing is in the bowl near the bottom that's in the shade. Did you figure out this is the picture I borrowed?
The tram up Lone Peak holds 15 standing people. It serves the chutes and bowls in the picture as well as those on the far side of the left ridge. We called it the "beer-can on a string".
