Who are dese guys, anyhow?

Well, they are -- in order of membership, as best I can tell -- Steve & Mike & Austin, then me(Jordan). Steve H. and Paul have joined in for one trip each, so far [as I know; maybe there have been other guys in the olden days]. And my 70-year-old dad joined Steve and me for the Whitney march.

So far, there's never been more than 4 of us on a trip at a time. I only just skied with Austin this year, tho' I hiked with him on my first trip, and I've only skied with Steve H. thru other connections (he and I and Steve have been in the same ski club for years), and Austin and Paul have never met, and Paul doesn't do 14ers yet, and my dad has never met Mike or Austin or Steve H., but ... so what.

It's sorta like poker night. Just some guys who get together to have fun, but aren't looking to solve any world problem at the moment. Enjoying the outdoors, physical exhilaration, belchin' and cussin', and probably drinkin' some beers afterwards (except for example, Mt. Whitney, where we -- exhausted, pained, and grouchy -- immediately clambered into the Explorer for the 5-hour drive across Death Valley in the middle of the night back to Vegas).
