Nakai Kiichi and Tanaka Misako) have been happily married for many years, with two perfect children, but although they seem like the ideal family on the surface, Nakai Kiichi is actually having an affair with someone from his office (Seto Asaka). As their family life starts to unravel, Tanaka Misako re-encounters with her ex-college friend (Shinna Kippei) who has been in love with her since college days and through him, she rediscovers her passion for pottery, and inevitably finds herself in love with him. The subject of extramarital affairs is not to everyone's tastes, but I really felt for the various characters, and it's got a nice ending. |

Jul-Sep 1995 | Definitely my ALL-TIME favourite!! (And that's saying a lot, in the fickle world of j-dramas...) It's a really really sweet love story about a young girl (Tokiwa Takako) struggling to be an actress who falls in love with a deaf-mute painter, and learns sign language to adapt to his way of life. The storyline is kind of mundane, but Tokiwa Takako makes the role come alive and Toyokawa Etsushi is cho-kakko ii, so despite a pretty run-of-the-mill plot, the drama is very engaging. Watch it!!! |
