Oct-Dec 2000 | Eguchi Yosuke is in best form as "aniki" (big brother), inspiring others to do their best and infusing everyone with a sense of team spirit. In this drama, he plays a carpenter who takes over the care of the four newly orphaned children of his "sempai" (a college football team-mate) who died in a fire. He moves them into his one-room abode at his boss's home where he also lives. Uchida Yuki is his boss's daughter, who recently moved back to her parents house after divorcing from a marriage which had lasted only one year. | |

Oct-Dec 1997 | A great romantic comedy! Kusanagi Tsuyoshi is at his best in this great role about a guy-meets-girl, guy-marries-girl, guy-divorces-girl comedy. In true J-drama fashion, the meeting, loving and marrying all take place in one episode, but the relationship breaks down after a fairly disastrous honeymoon and a bad row at the airport. While the process of getting together was rather rash, the divorce process is in contrast a drawn-out process, and in the meantime, the couple (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi and Seto Asaka) find out that each is not all that despicable, and they start to have second thoughts about getting divorced. |

Suzuki
Honami |
Jan-Mar 1998 | I'm told this is a very good drama... Suzuki Honami plays an ambitious and determined newscaster who has to learn to live together with her stepson (Takizawa Hideaki) after her newly-married husband dies in an accident. The drama is also offers a lot of insight into the TV news industry, and fierce competition and bitter rivalry that goes on behind the camera. |
