Synopsis

LIPSTICK Mikami Hiroshi
Hirosue Ryoko
Ishida Issei
Nakamura Aimi
Apr-Jun 1999 A drama about rebellious youths... Hirosue Ryoko stars as a girl sent to a correctional center and has to learn to deal with the rough crowd incarcerated in there.  Meanwhile, she finds unexpected support from the officer there (Mikami Hiroshi)... I'm told it is a very depressing drama, and as the cast does not really appeal to me (I'm not a big fan of Hirosue), I probably will not get around to watching it for a long long time...

5.0 Apr-Jun 1996 One of the all-time great classics!! The only problem is if you happen to hear all the hype, you may find the first couple of episodes rather slow-going. Although there's no real "action" per se, for some reason, the show grabs you from about the third episode onwards, and you simply don't want to stop watching. It's got an all-star cast too, so there's every reason to watch it! For those of you who missed out on the plot, it's about a 29-yr old girl (Yamaguchi Tomoko) who gets ditched at the alter and meets KimuTaku (her ex-fianc?s roommate) and circumstances force Yamaguchi Tomoko to move in with KimuTaku and they start to develop a deep (albeit prickly) friendship. Matsu Takako is KimuTaku's love interest, but Matsu Takako is attracted to Yamaguchi Tomoko's younger brother, Takenouchi Yutaka.

3.5 Oct-Dec 1997 This drama is often twinned with other classics like LV, but personally speaking. I found LV to be WAY superior.  The story is  basically about single people lleading ordinary salaried lives living it out in the big city.  Matsu Takako and Kimura Takuya meet each other on the railroad tracks one night after both are too late to catch the last train.  They end up working in the same office, and eventually start going out with each other, but KimuTaku is still in love with his ex-girlfriend, who is about to get married to his elder brother.

He is a proud, difficult man who has gone through many editors and Misaki soon angers Koh who fires her. But Misaki begins to visit Koh's apartment to get him to write. She gets to know his neighbours like budding illustrator, Shingo Katori, who lives next door and Yuka, who is a big fan of Toyokawa who followed him to the capital and now works in the Sunset Cafe in the apartment building.
