Jan-Mar 2000 | This was touted as the best drama for the Spring 2000 season, and topped all the drama rating charts. It is certainly worth watching - KimuTaku is very cool in his role as a hairdresser, and Tokiwa Takako puts on a great performance as a handicapped girl in a wheelchair. She plays a role that best suits her - spunky and brave - and there's a great supporting cast with Watabe Atsuro as her bumbling but very protective elder brother. But - and this could be due to the hype which preceded it - I felt somewhat let-down by what had seemed to be such a promising drama. It couldn't engage my interest to the same degree, and I certainly was nowhere as absorbed in the story as I'd expected. |

Jul-Sep 2000 | A Cinderella-type fairytale of a sophisticated executive and a country-bumpkin bus driver... the script is quite well-written and despite an overdone theme, the story flows well and there are some parts that are really very funny! A very watchable drama that leaves you with a warm feeling afterwards. |
