A Look Into the Editor's Life
Spring has sprung!! Bright leaves have returned to our fig tree and new apple blossoms are pushing their way into the world. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to experience the new world of Faithful Followers. I have hopes that you will enjoy it and will return again and again. Don't hesitate to e-mail me with news that you are reading Faithful Followers and would like more info on when it changes and what I need for each issue - It would be a great encouragement!
Other than writing and learning the ins and outs of creating a place on the web, my days have been caught up in a whirlwind of different activities. Outdoor activities such as volleyball, tennis and beach parties highlight each week as do other things, including a weekly Bible study. I am presently taking a volleyball class at the local college along with Dad. It's a fun way to exercise and be a part of an ever variating team.
Here at home, I have once again taken up and am pursuing with much vigor and interest quite a number of hobbies. Noelle and I are planning once again to start up our doll dress business. I am excitedly awaiting to take advantage of the many wonderful spring sales on fabric and trimmings.
After having our computer monitor die, we have replaced it and are once again using it to the greatest of its abilities. I have found a delightful site, which enables me to trace my family history into depths of the unknown. It is really quite fascinating as I already have over 400 names on my chart right now!
Having just completed an Internet Course on Creation Science, I have been busy digging up information for my essay titled "Nothing New Under the Sun" addressing the question; "Were the ancient civilizations really primitive?" I am amazed at the abundance of evidence pointing to the fact that instead of inventing, we are merely re-learning things of the past, just as Solomon stated in Ecclesiastes 1:9. I've found that during the Golden Ages of many ancient civilizations, the heights of cultural achievements far surpass our own. If we believe that civilization is at its creative best today, we must think again. I love turning to light little known facts and surprise myself on how much information is out there!
I am planning on reading my Biblical Fiction books once again. With my thoughts and writing continually on them, I can not resist the temptation! I do hope that you will take up one of the books we have featured here and delve into a land of long ago times! Please enjoy yourself as you continue on your journey through the world of Biblical Fiction via Faithful Followers. God bless and happy reading!!
In Christ,
Aubrey Blankenship
