| THE SWISS FAMILY DIGIMON (Episode 171) The kids continue to search for the Tuconmon. The Tuconmon are still upset about how ugly Ranamon was when she beast spirit evolved and they have no decided that they no longer like her. To make matters worse, they decide that they should sell the D-Tectors instead of giving them to Ranamon. J.P. wonders if Zoey will be as scary as Ranamon when she Beast Spirit Evolves. This makes Zoe upset and says that she will be able to control her beast spirit better than anyone, because girls can handle 'power'! The kids notice the Tuconmon flying in the sky and she them land over on a nearby island. Takuya and Zoe were going to swim over to the island, but they were stopped by Gomamon before they even got a chance. Gomamon warns the kids that their are whirlpools out in the water and because of this, there is no way to get to the island. Zoe wants to get the Gomamon back to the island so they can be with their friends. Zoe says that they can handle anything, even without their D-Tectors. So, after Zoe talked them into it, the kids gather logs and build a raft. J.P. has designed this plan for this HUGE boat, but it would have taken way too long to build it, so they didn't. Ranamon has been having some trouble controling her new beast spirit, but then again, who hasn't. But after a little time, she is finally able to master her new powers. The kids have now finished building the raft and after getting out in the water, the kids realize that there must be something at the bottom of the sea that is causing the whrilpools. Suddenly, Ranamon attacks and Kazemon, being the only one who can spirit evolve, prepares for battle. Zoe is knocked into the water and she felt like it was the end for her, but just when things seemed bad, she noticed something shining at the bottom, it was her beast spirit! After taking her beast spirit, the whrilpools disappear. Zoe makes it out of the water and Beast Spirit Evolves to Zephrymon. Zoe has no trouble at all with controlling her beast spirit, but Ranamon looses control over her beast spirit again and the battle is over. After all that, the kids remember about the Tuconmon, but those birds are already on their way to the 'leaf fair' to trade off the D-Tectors. RATING: 7.5 |
| BIZARRE BAZAAR (Episode 172) The kids are still on the raft and are on their way to the 'leaf fair'. They don't know it yet, but the birds have already traded their D-Tectors for a camera. The weather in this part of the world is very cold, but as soon as the kids get on land, it magically turns warm again. It is because there is something that looks like a giant heater on this island. They split up to look for the Tucanmon, but have no luck in finding them. Tommy thinks the Tucanmon may have traded the D-Tectors and goes to a nearby trading post to ask. There he meets the storeowner, Datamon, who is playing video games. Datamon just can't win the game, so Tommy gives it a try. Tommy is able to win the game (he's very good at playing video games). The game says he has won something and a box comes out of the machine. Datamon is quick to take the box and will not tell Tommy what he has won. Datamon takes the box over to a drawer, but when he opens the drawer, Tommy notices that Datamon has their D-Tectors in there. Tommy tells him that they own the D-Tectors and the Tucanmon stole them form them. Datamon thinks Tommy is just lying and will not give him the D-Tectors. Datamon begins to mess with Tommy's D-Tector and it begins to glow brightly. Tommy thinks he has broken it. :| Tommy tells him that the others need those D-Tectors to help save the Digital World. Datamon decides to give Tommy one (1) hour to find something to trade. Tommy runs off, while Datamon continues to work on the D-Tectors. Tommy can't find the others, but Neemon does see Tommy leaving town. Tommy knows he must find something to trade, on his own now. Meanwhile, J.P. and Zoe are competing in an eating contest for a special prize. Neemon finally gets around to telling the others that the saw Tommy leaving town. Tommy has found the Tucanmon, they run from him and end up falling into some water and drop their camera. It is cold outside of town and you could freeze in this weather! Tommy takes the camera and was going to leave the Tucanmon in the water, but decides to be nice and return to help them get out. After that, the birds take back the camera and run away. Arbormon shows up at the shop looking for the D-Tectors, but Tommy still has a little time left and will not trade the D-Tectors yet. Arbormon trashes the shop. Takuya finds Tommy and they soon return to the shop. Tommy tried very hard, but still has nothing to trade. Datamon has loaded new data into the D-Tector and decide to give the D-Tectors back to the kids. Datamon has loaded Tommy's beast spirit into his D-Tector, that is what he had won while playing the game. Arbormon attacks the town. Tommy beast spirit evolves to KoriKakumon. He has a little trouble control the spirit, but nothing too bad. The others spirit evolve as well, but Tommy takes care of Arbormon. Afterward, Tommy is glad he didn't hurt anyone when he got his beast spirit. Now, the kids receive a message asking if they wish to continue their mission. When they all say "Yes", they are asked to head for the 'Rose Morning Star and then....' , but the rest of the message is lost. Zoe has trailmon tickets she won during the contest, so they have a ride. So, the kids are off in search of the Rose Morning Star... RATING: 10 |
| TRAILMON VS TRAILMON (Episode 173) The kids are on the trailmon, on their way to the 'star'. Everyone is happy to have their beast spirit now. Zoe wants a snack, but has no money. Bokomon continues to care for that egg, and he is starting to drive everyone else crazy! When the trailmon finally stops, they realize they are in the wrong town, but in this town, the 'Great Trailmon Race' is being held today. Zoe thinks the prize for winning the race is a Cheeseburger and everyone is getting hungry. To be in the race, each Trailmon needs a rider. However, after the other digimon find out that ShadowWhereGarurumon and Dogmon are going to be in the race, they no longer want to ride with the trailmon. Since no other Trailmon has a rider now, the kids say that they will each ride one, this way all Trailmon will be in the race. Neemon also decides to take part in the race, but falls asleep before even getting started. (So much for that idea) The race starts, J.P. spirit evolves, just to add some style. But he is soon out of the race, because a Raremon is on the track and there is no way around it. Dogmon blows up the bridge that the Trailmon will need to cross and Tommy and Zoe are in trouble. They both spirit evolve and they are able to save their Trailmon from falling over the edge. Tommy continues in the race, but Zoe's trailmon is unable too. ShadowWhereGarurumon pushes Takuya off his trailmon and he falls over the cliff, but Kumamon is able to get their just in time to save him. Takuya spirit evolves and gets back in the race. Koji has bigger problems...Dogmon is eating his trailmon's breaks. He spirit evolves, but is unable to stop the train and it goes over the cliff. Kumamon is able to hold onto Koji's trailmon for a while, but ends up pulling his trailmon over the cliff also and they all fall to the ground. Koji is able to save all of them, but they are still out of the race. Takuya and ShadowWhereGarurumon and his sidekick, Dogmon are still in the race. The trains go inside a cave, where a fire ends up starting. This gives Takuya an idea, so using BurningGreymon's power, Takuya and his trailmon are able to win The Great Trailmon Race! However, the grand prize is really a trip to Hamburger Village and not real food. RATING: 9 |
| YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT? (Episode 174) *This review may make you hungry :)* Hamburger Village is being attacked by Chamelemon. Arbormon kidnaps the Burgermon. The kids are on their way to Hamburger Village. When they arrive, they meet the Wife and kids of the Burgermon. The kids tell them what happened, and now their Father must cook for Patdaldramon at home. Patdaldramon told them if they could make a better burger, then their father could come home. But Burgermon is the best cook and that is the best burger. The new burger must be finished quickly, because Patdaldramon will return when the 3 moons align again. Zoe suggest they try making their own burgers and maybe one of theirs will turn out better. One problem thought, no one has ever cooked before. Bokomon and Neemon decide they will be the ones who taste the food. In the kitchen, the kids work on their hamburgers. Tommy is a little lost in what to do, but he gives it a try anyway. Tommy drops some onions into Zoe's salad dressing by mistake, but the 'new' dressing doesn't taste all that bad. Tommy decides he will fry some ground beef and then just put this on top. Everyone tries the new creations (AKA: Hamburgers) except of Tommy's. Neemon and Bokomon nearly get sick from eating Takuya and Koji's food. (If you can even call it food.) Zoe takes Tommy's burgers outside to give them a try, but before they get to eat, the Chamelemon return and eat Tommy's hamburgers. They like the food so much that they take Tommy, J.P., and Zoe back with them. The burgermon kids follow them. Meanwhile, Koji and Takuya are still trying to cook. The three are thrown in jail with the burgermon and the Chamelemon trap the Burgermon Kids. Zoe tells Tommy she is sorry for getting him into all of this Digital World stuff and all, but Tommy is glad he came to the Digital World after all. Tommy tries cooking the hamburger again, the burgermon also thinks these are great hamburgers! J.P. and Zoe finally get something to eat, thanks to Tommy. Burgermon makes a slight change to the burger to make it 'the greatest burger ever'. When the Chamelemon return, the kids spirit evolve. Kazemon saves the Burger-Kids and in return, the kids help them defeat the Chamelemon. This time, Tommy loads the code form the defeated digimon. Patdaldramon attacks the kids, and the kids switch to their Beast Spirits. A battle takes place, but ends when it is time for Petdaldramon to eat, and then he takes a nap. Everyone is safe now. In honor of Tommy creating the new burger, Burgermon has decided to name the new hamburger 'The Little Tommy'. And just to sum things up, Tommy's food was the best, J.P. and Zoe can cook a little, and Takuya and Koji can't cook at all. RATING: 8.5 |
| FROM DAWN TO DUSKMON (Episode 175) Mercuremon has Seraphimon's fractal code, but he don't plan on giving it to Cherubimon. When Cherubimon arrives, he wants the fractal code that all of them have collected. Duskmon does not show up for the meeting. When Cherubimon receives the fractal code, he knows that Mercuremon has kept Seraphimon's code and he is also upset about the kids getting their beast spirits. The kids are on a trailmon headed for the rose morning star. Zoe notices that the sky is very dark, but it is still mid day. The trailmon suddenly stops and will go no further, the kids must walk the rest of the way. The area up ahead is the 'Dark Gate' and Bokomon's book has no information on this part of the Digital World. All digimon that have gone in here have never returned. The kids decide to try their luck anyway. Bokomon don't want to go, but he goes anyway. Hours later, in the forest, the kids find some glowing moss and decide to use it to light their way. Duskmon and Mercuremon have a talk. Duskmon has never been in a battle before, but is considering fighting the kids. Duskmon thinks Mercuremon is a trader because he kept that fractal code. The kids find a cave and by this time, Bokomon is totally freaked out. The kids find some peaceful digimon here, called Pipismon who only repeat everything they hear. The kids suggest that Bokomon write this in the book since no information has ever been recorded on this place. Bokomon starts writing everything down and is now glad that he came along. Arbormon attacks and defeats the Pipismon. Everyone beast spirit evolves and combine their attacks. Arbormon loses his beast spirit to the kids. Lobomon loads the code for the beast spirit. Then, Duskmon arrives and destroys Arbormon and loads his fractal code. Now it is time for the battle that will be remembered... RATING: 7.5 |
