DARKEST BFORE DUSKMON   (Episode 176)
The battle between Duskmon and the Spirit evolved digimon has started.  J.P. and Tommy switch back to their human spirits, but even all of the digimon's power combined cannot defeat Duskmon.  The kids decide that they should make a run for it, but before they leave, Takuya releases one of his powerful attacks on Duskmon.  Later, Takuya tells the others that there is no way Duskmon could have survived that powerful attack, he must have been defeated.  The others know that this isn't true and Koji and Takuya get into a fight over what should and shouldn't have been done during the battle.  Later, while talking with Zoe, J.P. says that it is because of all their differences that they are a team and this makes the team complete.  They then think about what it would be like to have two Kojis or Takuyas...but they don't think about that for long.  It's just not something anyone would want to have on a team.   Tommy asks Takuya if they have a chance of winning.  Takuya tells him not to worry because he has a plan of his own and it will not fail.

Duskmon is still around and has now continued his search for the kids.  Meanwhile, Takuya tells everyone else about his 'great' plan.  The plan is to attack all at once, but this time there is a difference.  Takuya continues to explain the plan to everyone, but Koji don't like the idea because he is worried about the safety of the others.  Koji and Takuya decide to go off somewhere and have a talk.  This is when Koji tells Takuya that there are no second chances here, if they mess up now, it's all over.  Koji reminds him how strong Duskmon was and he may not have even been using all his power.  Takuya just don't seem to get it and still thinks that his plan will work.  Koji just don't want anyone to get hurt.

Before Takuya and Koji return, Duskmon returns for round 2.  Tommy, J.P., and Zoe beast spirit evolve and now have no choice but to carry out Takuya's plan.  Takuya and Koji realize what is going on and beast spirit evolve.  Takuya takes on Duskmon, but he knows there is really no way that he can win.  Finally the time comes and they all attack at once as planed, but the plan is no good, the attacks are useless.  Just as Duskmon is about to finish off Agunimon, Koji jumps in front of him and takes the blast.  Koji de-digivolves.  When Agunimon yells out Koji's name, Duskmon gets very upset.  It seems that hearing Koji's name has caused him great pain.  Then, everything is suddenly covered in darkness.

Takuya awakens in the 'Dark Tunnel'.  It is the end of the line for him and Takuya now has a chance to go home.  He thinks about it, then gets on the train to head for home...

HOME AGAIN, TAKUYA RETURNS   (Episode 177)
Takuya is on DarkTrailmon, on his way back home.  Takuya thinks about how his plan failed and what his friends are going to do since he is no longer there.  As the train returns into the real world, something strange happens, Takuya transforms into some kind of mutant. (We will call him the 'Mutant Takuya' for now)  The now, mutant Takuya, gets off the train right where he started form in the beginning.  He has no idea that anything has happened to him.  He is always thinking about Duskmon and is always having nightmares about him.  The mutant Takuya also finds out that he has a new fire attack, that happens every time he screams.  Takuya realizes that his hands have changed, but has never seen his own face yet.  He realizes that everything is the same except for him.  He returns home, but as he looked through the window, he sees himself setting at the table, he is really already home. (He is seeing himself)  It is actually the same day that he had left for the Digital World.  The mutant Takuya is upset that he ever went to the Digital World in the first place.  The mutant Takuya thinks that if he can stop himself from getting on the train, then everything will go back to normal again and so will he.

The mutant Takuya tries to stop himself, but this time, ends up saving himself from being hit by a truck.  Also, while going through town, he realizes that everyone is afraid of him because he is really freaky looking.  While on the train, the mutant Takuya notices two Koji's or one kid that looks just like him.  The mutant follows himself to the elevator.  The other Koji never made it to the elevator and being in a rush, ended up falling down some stairs.   *The elevator soon arrives at the station.*

The mutant Takuya starts thinking about his friends and knows that he must somehow return to make everything go back to normal again.  He yells at the copy of himself to "Run, get on that train!"  Then suddenly, it is over and DarkTrailmon returns.  The mutant Takuya says he is no longer afraid of Duskmon and he gets on the train to return to the Digital World.  It is a one-way ticket back this time, a point of no return.  He now realizes that this whole Digital World thing is not a game, it is for real.   As the train passes back into the Digital World, Takuya returns to normal.  Soon the train stops and Agunimon gets off in the Digital World again.  He has returned to help his friends...but did he return in time?

Agunimon can somehow tell what is going to happen before it does, he was even able to tell when it was going to rain, before it even started to.  He doesn't understand what is going on, but he has now realized what being a Digimon is all about.

Back with Ranamon, the kids refuse to talk or tell her anything.  Bokomon and Neemon meet face to face with Sepikmon, but Agunimon arrives just in time to save them.  Bokomon tells Agunimon that the others have been trapped and they have no idea where Koji is.  As for Sepikmon, it turns out that all he wanted to do was make friends and helped Takuya find the others.

Just when Ranamon is about to attack J.P., Koji spirit evolves to Lobomon and saves him.  Agunimon, Neemon, and Bokomon now arrive.  Just in time too, because Lobomon is having a bit of trouble and needs Agunimon's help.  Bokomon notices how much Takuya has changed; Agunimon is able to use the power of Mother Nature to increase their attacks.  Soon the others and the D-Tectors are freed and the other kids spirit evolve.  They all take on Mercuremon and Ranamon.  Since they are over powered by the digimon this time, they run away.

Everyone is glad Takuya has returned and Takuya now truly understands what being a digimon is all about.
