Skyline: A rain-cloud passes over the city.

Plot: Hester Crane's old research assistant, Leland Barton, is coming back to Seattle to visit the Crane family. Leland adored Hester - Martin says he suspects Leland was jealous of him! - but moved to Paris when Frasier was 7 to sits on the board of the Paris Museum of Modern Art. When Leland arrives, Roz is at the apartment, and she notes the similarities between Leland and Frasier - they both like the same wines, art etc. In fact, they are so similar that even Eddie doesn't who to stare at!

Later on Roz discovers that Leland and Niles both have some very rare allergies. When a waitress at Cafe Nervosa mistakes Leland for Frasier and Niles' father, Roz begins to think that maybe he is! She accidentally tells Martin her thoughts, and Martin wonders if it is true. Leland has a lot more in common with Frasier and Niles than he does, and Hester did cheat on him once - could she have done it again? Martin begins to worry that his sons are not his sons, and goes to Roz for advice. When it is time for Leland to leave, Martin feels he has to ask Leland how much he loved Hester.....

Meanwhile Niles and Daphne are applying for a space at an exclusive kindergarten for their future children, since there is a waiting list of many years, but first they have to think of a name for the hypothetical child.....

Subtitles: The Woes Of The Name; 5 Years Later.

Roz loves..... the guy who gave her his phone number whilst she was walking Eddie and her dog Ariel.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: A mention of Lilith and Frederick, as Frasier says they waited until Frederick was conceived before enrolling him in private school.

Trivia: Naturally there are a lot of mentions of Hester Crane in this episode, and there is a reference to when she cheated on Martin (Ep 8 "Beloved Infidel"). There are also mentions of Simon Moon, who we learn has/had a substance abuse problem, and Alice. Eddie is back, and so is his staring! :-) Niles makes a quick reference back to when he was in hospital (Ep 218 "Rooms With A View") - the first mention since that storyline ended! The names suggested by Niles and Daphne are Simon, Bob, Delilah, Taylor, Fletcher, Cooper, Tanner, a name that sounds like "a kind of car", names that sound like Daphne is "reading from the spice rack", Desmond, Jack, Fong, DeShandra and Milton - and Roz's suggestion, Ichabod.
