Debacle.  Confusion.  Heartache.  These are just some of the words that describe Rafters Cup 6.  As we convened in Greektown, the anticipation for the sixth annual Tournament was high.  The day started off with Mike having to meet us at the hotel because he was running late.  After we gathered we enjoyed a scenic walk down the streets of Detroit en rout to Lafayette Coney Island.  As we scarfed down coney dogs, we were questioned by the staff to see if we were race car drivers.  After coneys, we went back to the hotel and Andrew and Paul held the first Rafters Weekend Dot Bowl.  Then, after watching Three Men and a Baby without seeing the "ghost", it was time for the casino.  After some playing and some cheap drinking we all had dinner at Pizzapopolis, where we used an invalid comp card to pay (bonus!).  After a long day of celebration in Greektown, the 6th annual Rafters Memorial Cup began in the most bizarre way possible.  At 11pm, in room 720 of the Atheneum Suites Hotel, the first hand was dealt in what was to be RC6.  3 games were played using partners best in only 30 minutes, a fraction of the normal time.  In the middle of game 4 it was decided that an outside source would be called upon to check Rafterscup.com to determine if we were in fact supposed to use partners best.  It was discovered that partners best was not allowed, and it was agreed that Fantasy Rafters 2001* would be stopped, and we would immediately restart the tournament.  When the real RC6 began, there was still a cloud that loomed large over the tournament.  Mike Magri fought through this haze and captured his 3rd straight Rafters Memorial Cup.  Before losing game 6, Mike had run his consecutive win streak to an amazing 11 games.  Mike also set records for least points against (29) and largest point gap between 1st and last place.  Speaking of last, Andrew finished in the cellar for the 3rd straight year, and has only 4 wins since 1998 championship.  Andrew set tourney lows for least points for (24) and largest points deficit
(-33) while finishing with the worst individual tourney w/l record of all-time.  In addition, the 2001 Tourney was the lowest scoring (81 total points) and quickest (2 hours, 20 minutes) of all-time.
