This was truely Eric's night. His start (3-0 31-11) was the best start of all time. He lost in game 4, but came back with a vengence. In game 5, the 50th Rafters Cup game ever, Andrew and Eric shut out Mike and Paul 10-0 thanks to 2 straight loners by Eric. After 5 games, Eric lead Andrew by 9 points. Though it was a big lead, Andrew was dreaming of a second straight shutout and a 2nd Cup. Andrew and Mike got off to a good start, leading 2-0. then IT happened. Mike called diamonds. Eric spanked him. And Andrew broke an innocent floor lamp. Soon after Mike's nose started to bleed. Andrew took advantage of the break and ran up 12 flights of stairs until he found a vacuum to clean up the mess of broken glass. When play resumed, Eric and Paul outscored Mike and Andrew 8-3 and won 10-5. Eric wins his first championship after a long 7 year wait. Mike finishes with the worst record ever for a defending champ after an historic 4 year run. | |||||||||||||||||||
