Checking In
	Checking in was a breeze. The big Jamaican smile that met us at the front steps took our bags (we had only a couple of overnight bags...you won't need much clothes at Hedo) and had carefully placed them to one side amongst the many others whose owners anxiously awaited their turns at the check-in desk.
			There was a crowd of 20 or so, waiting for their room assignments. Some sat at the front desk with Hedo officials, excitedly getting the necessary paperwork out of the way. Others greeted and chatted with old friends from back home, or with old friends from past Hedo trips, and others were already making new friends. As far as we could tell, everyone was eagerly taking advantage of the complimentary cocktails and tropical drinks being offered to make the waiting a little less painful.
		A couple of Pina Coladas later we had taken care of the formalities of signing in and were told that our room was still being prepared for us as the previous guests had only just vacated it. No problem mon! At the attendant's suggestion, we made our first pilgrimage to the bar in the main dining area where we relaxed and sampled as many "Purple Rains", "Dirty Bananas", and "Pineapple Daiquiris" as we could manage before another Jamaican smile told us our room was ready.
Accommodations
		Hedo has 280 double rooms with either beach or garden view. There are no in-room televisions - you won't need one at Hedo! There are ceramic tiles on the floors, air conditioning, and a private shower and bath. Equipped with a radio/CD player and love seat, a room will have either two twin beds or one king-sized bed, and is assigned on a shared basis. Guests travelling alone can share with another guest of the same sex or opt to pay a single supplement. Oh yes...did we mention the mirrored ceilings above the beds!
