Day's End
We didn't get a lot of rest at Hedo. After all, we weren't there to rest...we were there to enjoy ourselves...we can rest at home. A typical "day's end" at Hedo, for us, was falling into bed between 3 am & 4 am. Flesh & blood can take only so much abuse before there is an overwhelming urge for the body to renew itself. Getting to sleep was never a problem...Hedo even has a lullaby which is insidious in onset (you don't realize how much you miss it until you no longer hear it) & irresistible in its effect.

After-Effects
Many Hedo visitor's have said they needed a holiday "after" their trip to Hedo! This can certainly be the case unless you plan on spending all your time lounging on the beach reading books. That's not to say that people can't do that at Hedo...they can...although from personal experience, we can't honestly say that such an activity (or inactivity) actually exists at Hedo!

Hedo just seems to have an energizing effect on the mind & spirit...the body has no choice but to follow right along! However, there is a side-effect to all this self-indulgence...you may find that when you get back home, you will be suffering from an incurable condition known as DIF...the
"Dreaded Island Fever". A condition known well to Hedo visitors who, upon leaving this tropical paradise, immediately begin to display symptoms of agitation, irritability, disinterest in all things mundane, & an apathy towards life in general. There is no cure for this condition. It is treatable only by another dose of Hedo. The good news is that the treatment, once taken, is very effective & begins working immediately. The better news is that it must be taken at regular intervals!
All Good Things
As with all things enjoyable, there comes a time when the painfully inevitable must be faced...time to leave. Our week in paradise was over. Being the last to leave on that final day, we had to bear an onslaught of goodbyes as the rest of our friends in turn bid us & the others a fond farewell. This day was the antithesis of the beginning of the week. Sad faces, mournful looks, long embraces, tears, promises to keep in touch, promises to return to Hedo, promises to be together again, & then...emptiness.

A sorrowful journey home was followed all too rapidly by a return to reality...no more palm trees, no more breakfasts on the beach, no more day-long frolics in the nude pool, no more Delroy's & Robert's, no more tree frogs, no more Hedo friends.

No more, that is, until next time.
