Heidis had just got
her driving license three months ago. She was not expertise, but she could
drive fast. Max was scared out of his wits as he asked her, “Who are you?
Where are you going?” and received no answers.
“Shut up.” Heidis
snapped, “I’m trying to get outta this place.”
Max didn’t know
what to say. Today was full of revelation for him.
“Do you happen to
know any where I can hide for a while in Cass Town?” she asked him.
He could not give her
an answer, “I’m a tourist, Miss, I’m new here and I don’t really
know.” On second thoughts, he said, “But
there might be a place—the Cass Town Grand Hotel, where I’m staying. I
think that might be an appropriate hiding place for a while.”
“Thanks.”
Heidis activated the hologram map and looked for the location of the Grand
Hotel.
The radar started
beeping furiously. Heidis frowned, “Not now!”
“What’s the
matter?” Max asked.
“It’s just a
couple stupid guys chasing after us.” Heidis replied, “Relax.”
It’s just terrific,
Max thought bitterly. He watched as Heidis mobilized the taxi from left to right
in order to loose the ‘enemy’s vehicles’. The enemy’s vehicles had
some sort of laser weapon which they used on the taxi. Heidis swiftly
avoided the weapons.
Finally, they managed
to speed away unscathed. Heidis sighed, “Phew, that was close.”
