...and a couple of days off. Only one picture today, since everything looks the same (except for the forms, which now are filled with cement). But we've received more good news. The whole project (so far) has gone more quickly and smoothly than our builder estimated. He thinks he'll have the water reconnected, and the house livable again, by the end of next week. Even better, the cost will be lower. (Usually our news tends the other direction!) We'll also save some money by recycling the plywood from the foundation forms, using it as sub-flooring in the new addition. This has the added benefit of being 3/4" plywood, rather than the 1/2" we'd planned on.

The crew is away tomorrow, working on another project while the cement sets. They'll be back on Friday to remove the forms and will finish the foundation next week. More photos then. Have a good weekend!
