October 21 (Part 1)

A month of slow progress...

Yes, I know it's been three weeks since my last update. By the time I get home from work, it's now too dark for photos. Also, we've had to slow things down a bit until we sell Marci's house and have more working cash. However, that doesn't mean things have stopped entirely. To bring you up to date, I have two pages of pictures today.

In the first two pictures, the driveway has been added and the yard has been graded and shaped. It was all nicely covered with hay to prevent erosion, but some pretty strong wind blew a lot of it away last week.

The garage doors still aren't in. I believe they will be here this coming Monday or Tuesday, as will the exterior lights. For now, we have some blue tarps covering the doors to keep out the cold weather. The town also asked us to put a drainage ditch along the road, which you can see below.

Below are two pictures of our living room, as it appeared before the construction.

And below are the same two views now. We have serious dust everywhere, and a long way to go, but you can get an idea of how it will look when we're done. The carpet will be replaced with wood flooring.
