Amusing anecdotes and other such stuff.

Did I ever tell you about the time I did the hokey-pokey with a narcoleptic girl? Well here she is, in some manner of pink costume which I never quite understood.

We were at CONvergence 2002, and the sun was begining to rise on Sunday morning. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what that means, it means that you've been up for way too long. In my case it meant that both my ankles were mildly sprained from having danced for hours without leaving the dancefloor once. That's another story, however. Suffice to say that it was in the pursuit of a girl who somehow knew our pink-clad friend here.

I never got a chance to talk to the other girl, but I shared quite a few strange jokes with this girl and a guy who may or may not have been a Scotsman. I still have my doubts.

I don't remember why we did the hokey pokey, now that I think about it.

This is the girl I was chasing after which led me to meeting the narcoleptic. It turns out that this girl's name is Amy. I didn't find that out until some 9 months after the CON. I actually think of this as probably my most successful relationship ever, being that we never spoke to one another the entire weekend. In my book that ranks pretty high.

Now that I notice it, her red con badge marks her as being younger than 21. I wonder just how old this girl I was chasing was? Maybe it's for the best that we never really met.

This is Will. He is the creator and one of the stars of Spooky and Monday, which can be found elsewhere on this site. In this instance, he is portraying Cheshire Zero, of which little in known except that his glove keeps getting better, every year.

In this picture he's looking more amused than usual. It could be genuine amusement or it could be the lack of sleep that he had experienced in the days prior to this picture being taken. The picture was taken, incidentally, by the narcoleptic pictured above. Isn't that something?

Will and I once had a 4 hour conversation about what types of candy best represent specific personality archetypes. We determined that Will is black licorice. I believe I'm best represented by a box of nerds. Read into that however you'd like.

You'll note three things about this picture. First is the snazzy tie. Second is the snazzy goggles. Third is that the cream-coloured badge means Will is 21 or older. I'm not sure what relevance that has but.. well there it is.
