She is a professor at New York University. Even though she is very busy, she still teaches the foreign students with the great enthusiasm in the writing class. June always encourages her students to write whatever they want. Because of her patient teaching, after a few months, all students have increased the writing ability.
June Foley is our repected and beloved teacher.
Mr. Michael Hunter is the director of the Family Literacy Program and an English teacher at University Settlement.
Because he is an administrative personnel, he has a great deal of work to do, such as finding funding for school, visiting some people, joining some meetings, setting the lessons, recruiting students, interviewing some teachers and staff. He is strong and smart enough to devote himself to these works.
He is an excellent English teacher. He has taught foreign students in E.S.L. class for many years. He knows what he should teach the students and how to make them easy to learn in English class. He makes a good plan on his teaching. Before the class begins, he printed the essential lectures for the students. Sometimes he would give the students some lectures, which are connected with the current matters of American. Using the real example, he makes the boring grammar lesson to be alive. In the reading class, he selects some essays linking to American life, so the students can learn English in the active way, at the same time, they can know something more about America. Mr. Hunter's successful teaching is showed in the skillful combination of grammar, reading, conversation and real American life. It makes learning English to be more interesting and easier. Because of Mr. Hunter's skillful.

June also is a distinguished teacher. She has profound knowledge and copious experience with foreign students. Actually, foreign students might have strong accents and make many grammar or spelling mistakes in their articles. June can immediately correct the errors when she is reading or listening to student's writing.
June always regards for her students' original idea and writing. When she modifies their articles, only corrects grammar mistakes or alters some necessities. If she changed a word of sentence in the article, she would write a note about the reason while letting her students have their own understanding and comparison.
As a teacher and as a friend, June is a very kind and elegant lady. She teaches us with her love and her passion. Students like to talk to her about their problems in writing and she always gives them great help.
We admire June's good memory. She can remember every student's name and writings even after a long time.
