This is the computer class at University Settlement. Our teachers are Michael Hunter, Monika wojciechowski and the volunteer teacher, Carolyn Barshow. They teach us how to use Microsoft Word to type our homework, our resumes and our projects. They also teach us how to send e-mails and greeting cards on the Internet. For an example: Michael and Monika teach us how to insert different fonts and pictures into the e-mails sending to our friends and other people. It is one of better ways to communicate with other people. On the Internet, we can find some information and resources from different web sites, such as we can get some educational resources to help our children. Through the World Wide Web, we could learn different countries' cultures and their history's. We think it is a good way to improve our English and computer skills. We also realize how is important to learn computer skills during the high technical period. Carolyn teaches us how to create our web sites. Although our English is very limited and it is not easy to do, we still try to systematically to learn. We build up our web sites little by little until we finish them because we have our web sites that we could share our ideas, feelings, stories, and our writings with you and the world. Thanks for visiting our web sites. Please feel free to give us feedback about our sites. Man Ying Wong |
