Interior

Most of the restoration work was spent on the engine and exterior.  However, we did do some worki inside while the plane was down.  One of the important things we wanted to accomplish was to install an intercom.  We had been borrowing a portable unit from a friend that just wasn't cutting it.  We installed a
PS Engineering PM 1000 II with dual music inputs (I have kids) and automatic clearance record.  The ACR allows you to press a button that will digitally play back previous radio receptions.  PTT switches were installed in the yokes.

The original 4 place EGT gauge work erratically at best.  We elected to replace this with a digital EGT gauge from
Aerospace Logic We also decided to install a JPI Fuel-Scan 450 to help with fuel management.  The original clock lost time on the on the order of an hour per day.  It was replaced with a Davtron Digital clock.  One last new feature was to add a green LED to indicate when the electric fuel pump is on.  Running the electric fuel pump causes incorrect readings on the fuel flow gauge.

The wire ties securing the wire bundles were brittle and failing throughout the ship.  We replaced every wire tie we could get at.

To give the engine the feel of a new engine we replaced all of the controls with new PMA units from
McFarlane Aviation.  It costs a little more for the PMA'd units but it saves on 337 hassles and it makes for a easy direct fit.

The accessory rocker switches along with the split master switch were all replaced.  This is a relatively simply job and eliminates another "old look and feel" spot.  The plastic instrument panel overlays were repaired and repainted.

The final task tor the interior, that still remains,  is new seats and wall panels.  We are hoping  to accomplish this winter.

Sorry, since there wasn't too much interior work done, there are not a lot of interior pictures.  Also, it's difficult to show in a picture how wire ties were replaced.
Intercom jacks were installed into the lower part of the center console.

Note the additional jack to the right for music input.  The metal support plate was fabricated and fits nicely at the bottom of the cowl flap control.
Freshly painted panel (Note missing placards)
New Instruments:
     Davtron Clock
