I am a Visionary. An Innovator/Inventor. I'm always coming up with new ideas, writings, songs, jokes, business plans, and inventions. Some things I copyright, some things I'd like to get patents on. Some things I simply share, like the gags I am always making up, and my opinions. I have a wide range of interests. I am convinced of the need for the wisdom of God to infuse today's marketplace, for our marketplace has become somewhat stagnated, and it really does need to be re-energized. Anyone looking for ideas? Look me up: I have lots of ideas, some embryonic, others fairly well-developed (some things I don't think could be patented - so I don't try). Still, I think so many of the things I come up with ought to be built. One hot area right now in electronics is "wireless" applications, for data communications, or digital remote control, and I have a few good ideas about digital R/C: For example, I know how to make a "snakeless" audio mixer, for traveling bands (trust me, it's a real hassle, tripping over that snake). I know how to build Tornado Safe-Rooms, and I know how to build houses that wouldn't split apart in Hurricanes. In fact, I've got an innovative, revolutionary new building paradigm, which does these things, but also reduces the expense of construction so dramatically it enables the construction of more affordable (not to mention safer) housing for the poor... E-mail me, to start a dialog on the subject. There's another grand proposal I'd like to make, that could cause big waves, because it is quite-nearly disruptive technology: I have an idea for a whole new paradigm for AC power. I also have opinions about the next generation of personal (cellular telephone) communications, and the need for Boeing's "Sonic Cruiser". If you want to hear the wildest of my more fanciful notions, check out "skyhook". Innovation isn't always rocket science! Sometimes, it's just common sense. One thing I'm slowly beginning to realize, though: You can't always share an idea while it's "half-baked", before it's been fully thought out. I've done that, many times, and it's always a painful experience. Your great idea is your baby, and you ought to wean it fully before you send it out for adoption. For the more down to earth stuff I'm thinking up, check out the spin-fryer, or the "urban cruise-control". For some 3 years now, I have been working on a private version of the Psalms. I am truly enthused about the changes I foresee coming in praise&worship music. There is a whole new music coming: Let me tell you all about the use of major-sevenths with split-fifths (major seventh chords with both perfect, and flatted fifths)...later, maybe? At the moment, here, I feel like sharing some ideas for several things that may be of interest to my fellow musicians: Check out my opinion on titanium guitar strings. I made some of those things to experiment with, and it was a hoot. I'd like to build a "note-gate" . I could make one of those things (somebody ought to hire me. I'm a pretty good electronics engineer). I also have a proposal for an integrated circuit, with a set of logic gates to decode a stream of notes, and tell you which chords are played. I'm also a fair guitar builder, and repairer (actually, it's called, luthier). E-mail me, to start a dialog. I'm tired of sharing good ideas with people who aren't interested. But that's how it goes, sometimes, in the life of the maverick innovator. E-mail me, on this stuff. I love a challenge. And I need the work.
