Model Dog Kennel Showstring

Okay, we've introduced model horses, you may collect model trains, matchbox cars, or bird figurines.  Truth is, there are figurines of just about every bird, animal and fish available in some form or another, from wood to china to resin to stuffed.  Now, what are you supposed to do with them (Besides take up shelf space and collect dust) You can show them!  There is a really fun online show page that has shows for all sorts of model horses, special Longears divisions for donkeys/mules/zebras, even for farm animals, wild animals, dogs, cats, and fantasy animals. Go to www.imeha.org and see the various shows in progress!  You can even judge a class - all or just a few, or just look at the various photos posted.  You don't have to be a member or even any kind of judge - just love animals and want to do something fun!  (The only stipulation is if you decide to show with us - and we hope you will - is that you do not judge classes in which you have entries.  that's all!)

Yo Quiero Gato Taco?  There are some great resincast dogs available on the market at low prices - ie under $20.00.  This is a little Chihuahua resincast dog.

Gretchen, a sleepy little retriever puppy.  There are classes on the IMEHA dog show site for "dogs sleeping"!

Blue Damask, an English Cocker female.  Shadow's Castle has a vast assortment of different Spaniels, many in Napco, Lefton, and other Porcelain or china molds.

THe Cocker Spaniel is a popular model dog, especially in the China models.  This is usually a large class at real dog shows, and reflects that at the model dog show as well.  This is "Highlight the Blonde". and American Cocker female.

Get elaborate with their names - real dog breeders do - and it's more fun!  This is Sand & Shadows Lure Me to Depths, a Clumber Spaniel.  The name came from our visit to Luray Caverns in Virginia, where we bought this model.

The model dog show is new to the IMEHA circuit, but already in our second show, the number of entries has grown immesly. Do you have models of " Russian Wolfhounds (Borzois) Minaiture Schnauzers ChowChows Basenjis Akitas West Highland White Terriers Pekinese These classes and others all need entries.  The classlist closely follows the breed classes and groupings as outlined the the American Kennel Club!!! We had a real collie dog many years ago, and in memoryof him, our model collies all have "Mac" in their name, (in honor of Mr. MacTavish). Again, this is a porcelain or china mold, older and probably from the 50s or 60's.
