| Held each year with the Horse-O-Rama (sponsored by the Tarrant County Extension Office), Lone Star Live is a NAN qualification show. It's one of the few shows I am able to get to anymore, so any ribbons or NAN cards I manage to bring home are a welcome suprise! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| First place in the collector's class, an all-dapple gray set of Discontinued and Special Run Breyer horses. Collector's classes are an opportunity for younger showers to see older models they might not have, and for anyone to share a collection. Some use color themes, some will have just very old models, or a set of all one mold in a number of color variations. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Many hadn't seen the light of day for years, but my Hartland class, with a 1-of-100 chestnut Polo Pony included, took 2nd overall in the Collector's classes of 7 entries. Hartlands go back to the 50's! Included here are a Woodgrain Mustang, 9" Arabian stallion, 9" ASB, 9" foal in red roan appy, 9" foal in bright chestnut, the chestnut polo pony, 7" Arabian family in gray, 7" Arabian mare in bay, Thoroughbred Suckling foal, metallic chestnut stallion and mare (Truly vintage) and unpainted Arab foal. The Mustang and smaller horses are the oldest. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The Lone Star Live show is going on in one part of the John Justin barns, while a real horse show goes on in the other! We've shown Thor in the Horse-o-Rama classes in years past, and missed the model show. This year we just got back from France and decided models were in and real-showing was out! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
