Welcome to Holly Designs!
This is my page. All about me. Are you sure you want to venture further in :)
My name is Holly Melissa Jeannine Young. I was born on March 6, 1977 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I lived there for 2 years. I am currently living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. If you don't know where these places are, well, it's that big country above the United States of America :) and in the western half of the country :) I haven't made it past the first 3 provinces. Maybe some day I will have lived in all the provinces :) NOT!! I say this because I lived most of my life in British Columbia. I lived in Port Alberni (on Vancouver Island) for 5 years, Prince Rupert for 11 months, Houston for 8 months, Prince George for 6 years, Terrace for 7 years, and then back in Prince George again for another 3 years. This kinda explains why I was always such a shy person, but it also made me who I am and I wouldn't change that for the world.
I have blondish brown hair that goes past my shoulders and eyes. I stand at 5 foot 3 inches tall :) Yes, I know that I am short, so if you are still laughing...GET OVER IT! It's kinda hard to sit here and try to describe myself to anyone out there who wants to know.
I'm not a very athletic type person, but I do like to play football, go for hikes, go camping, take walks, and I like to fish...although I will not touch it when it has been caught. Someone else has to gut it. I don't eat fish either, so it seems strange to me that I like to fish at all. It's probably the peaceful tranquility you feel sitting out on a boat in the middle of a lake :)
I love art. Anything that has to do with art :) Painting, drawing, sketching, even finger painting :) I find photography fascinating and would like to learn to develop my own pictures. I once wanted to be a storm chaser. Following storms to get interestingly wicked pictures that most people ohhh and ahhh about :) what couldn't be any more fun ? Well, maybe getting that close to a hurricane or tornado, but those are the risks you would have to take :) I love to stop and watch a sunset or a sunrise. Watching lightning and hearing thunder interests me as well. That's one good thing about living here in Edmonton. There is almost always a lightning storm going on in the summer.
Another thing about me, I love movies. I am a movie freak :) I've always said that one day I am going to own Hollywood and change the name to Hollywood Holly :) Don't ask me why, I just thought it would be cool at the time :) Some of my nicknames include Hollywood Holly, Holly Hobbland, Holiday, Holster, and Wade. The Wade nickname is after the duck on the Garfield cartoon, he's afraid of the water and so am I. That is weird, cause I am a Pisces, symbol being two fishes. Pisces' are supposed to love the water :) Well, here's one that doesn't :)I have acquired a new nickname through my current place of employment, Molly Holly. I enjoy wrestling, well most days I do. I even went to Smackdown when it came to Edmonton in May 2001. My love for wrestling comes from my dad, and now from Will :)
Well, if you have gone through all my other pages, then you know that I like poetry. I may not be very good at writing my own, but the words come out the way that I feel. I'm always listening for little quotes and sayings that are interesting too. I guess that is just one of my quirks :) I seem to have quite a few of them :) Oh well :)
I love long, peaceful walks on the beach at sunset. I always enjoy listening to a waterfall and watching how it settles in the pool below. I like to look up at the sky and wish upon the first star and search out the constellations. Oh yeah, one more thing. I love Dr. Pepper and Coca Cola. I enjoy collecting the artifacts and memorabilia of Coca Cola. I have a huge Coca Cola polar bear and two Coca Cola polar bear pack sacks :) I have now acquired a set of Coca Cola collector tin cards. I have some of the songs from the commercials Coca Cola has put out too. My goal is to have them all. Weird I know, but that is part of me and who I am, so either get used to it or well, don't. Nobody is making you :) One christmas was a Coca Cola one for me. I received a Coca Cola clock and a Coca Cola bath mat. Everyone is looking out for me :) I also got a 1992 Barcelona Olympics Coca Cola glass from one of my customers at work. Gee it is nice to be loved :) I do have some Coca Cola glasses as well. They have holly and ivy on them as well. Got the best of both worlds there :)
Well, here it is, the end to my boring tale of my life :) I hope you enjoyed reading about me if you made it this far :) I guess I should put some pictures of me somewhere around here. I just wish I could see your reactions to it from the mental images you had while I was rambling on :) Well, adios amigos :) I hope you enjoyed my boring tale and you leave here feeling that you know me just a little bit better than when you came in to look :)
This is a picture of me taken from when I was living in Terrace, BC. It is from approximately July 1996. You don't want me to make it any bigger cause it is a bad picture :) The place that it was taken is called Ferry Island. It is right in the middle of the new bridges between Terrace and Thornhill. I was walking with my head down so that I wouldn't trip on the rocks, looked up and this is the outcome.
This was taken at a friend's house when I was still living in Terrace, BC. As you can see, I don't take very good pictures, but what is a personal web page without some pictures of yourself right ?! We were just goofing around taking a bunch of pictures and this is one of the ones that I actually like :) They told me to look sad, but every time I tried to keep a serious face, I would start to laugh. I still don't know how I managed to keep this serious look for the length it took to take the picture :)
This is one where I was allowed to laugh during the picture. Yes I am a smoker, as you can see :) I have never really liked having my picture taken, and from the ones that I have shown you, you can obviously see why :) This picture and the one above were taken in November of 1997. Maybe someday I will like the pictures that I have taken of myself, but until then, I will never really like any picture taken of myself.
This one is supposed to be my grad picture, only it was taken in December of 1997 and I actually graduated in June 1996. Don't ask me why I waited so long to have my grad pictures taken. After all, I spent 3 years on correspondence, went back for my last year and a half to graduate with a class. Seems weird, I know, but that is me and I don't think I will ever change :) This picture was taken in Prince George, BC when I was visiting a friend, well a friend that is almost like my sister. This was also the time that I met Will.
Here we are when we were living in Prince George. This picture was taken around June or July 1998. I can't remember what we were doing, probably messing around on the Internet :) It was taken by one of our roommates at the time. I think I might actually like this picture. You can't really see any of me though, so that might be why I like it :) Well, enough gazing at me, and the pictures that I don't like of myself. I will let you get on to things about me that may interest you. Have fun in your journey of learning about me and who I am as a person.
