This page keeps changing, that I don't know where to start anymore. I could just tell you the basics, but for some reason that doesn't seem like enough, at least for me.
Well, maybe I should start with the basics. William Michael Bowers was born on August 4th 1973. He has brown hair and the biggest and cutest brown eyes. He has the cutest dimples in his cheeks when he smiles, and a cleft in his chin, but you are lucky to see it cause he lets his facial hair grow quite often.
I met Will back in December of 1997. I was living in Terrace at that point in time. I had decided to go visit a friend in Mackenzie, and on my way back I stopped in Prince George. An almost sister, Nichole lives there, and I always stopped to visit with her.
I met Will when Nichole and I went to Humpty's for coffee. He knew her, so he came over to borrow a cigarette...yes we both smoke :) We ended up joining him and two of his friends at their table. So for the next 18 days, we saw each other or talked on the phone with each other.
On one of those days, we ran into Will at the mall. A friend and him had their picture taken with Santa. They gave it to Nichole, so I had a copy made for myself...yes Will knows that I have that picture.
I had my grad pictures taken while I was down there. One of the extra poses, I got a picture done with Nichole. Since I was going to be back in Terrace when they came in, I had her write on the back of one for me. This was to be given to Will. On the back I had her write '"Sexy brown eyes" from Holly' for me.
My sister went down to visit Nichole about two weeks after I got back. She knew that I was crushing on him and she found out that he liked me as well. When she got back to Terrace, she had a paper rose from Will. It was scented with cologne. We started talking on the phone after that.
Our phone calls went on for over two months. We talked about everything. One of our phone calls lasted five hours :) We even watched the same tv shows while we talked sometimes. You have to remember that these phone calls were long distance, and was before the twenty dollars a month program here in Canada came out :)
Well, March 6 came around, and I found myself on the train bringing me back to Prince George. I only hoped it would be the last time for that trip. Well it has been. But if I were to go back home now, I would head in the complete opposite direction, cause my family moved out east after I moved out.
Well, here we are, still together, still happy. Obviously we are still together, if I am still writing about him :) Sure we have our share of problems, but we always seem to overcome them.
Through our ups and downs, we've managed to stay bestfriends as well as lovers. It was March 6th that I moved there and it was March 12th that Will and I started going out, so it seems appropriate that Will asked me to marry him...on the 6th of March. He gave me a promise ring in June though, so that sort of throws things off alittle bit :)
It seems like just yesterday sometimes, but at other times, it feels like we have been together alot longer. We have been through many struggles, both mentally and emotionally. Some from our own doing and others from family and friends. Still, we keep going on.
I feel that we are bestfriends. We can tell each other almost anything and not have to worry about the other getting upset or angry. We finish each others' sentences, sometimes it even feels like we know each others thoughts. Alot of the time, we are telling each other to get out of our heads.
Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that we have a perfect relationship. I would be very disillusioned if that were what I was saying. I am just saying, that our relationship works for us. It may not work for other people, but I feel, no I know, our relationship is worth all the bumpy roads it takes us down.
Each day we grow closer. We are always learning more and more, not just about each other but ourselves as we grow as a couple. I don't know about Will, but I feel he is the best thing to happen for me in my life.
Well, I guess I should end this and put you all out of your misery.... :) I just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am with my life, the way that it is heading and the way that I got here with Will in my life. Call me corny, I don't mind. It's not like it will be the first time :)
Here is a picture of us. It was taken in the summer of 1999...And if you venture far enough through my page, you will see that it is one of my better ones :)
