Some of our wedding plans. Well I guess mostly mine as right now it is dresses and flowers.
This is just my place to share with my family and friends, the decisions I have made with my wedding so far. There will be a few different things on this page. I have some dress pictures that I have found that I like, some pictures of flowers-bouquets, stuff to do with weddings etc.
Hopefully this page will help keep everyone informed and will also help me to make my decisions. Be sure to check out my choices and let me know what you think of them. I will be adding more to this page. So please check back later to let me know what you think :
These dresses all have a few things in common that I like. I really like the flowing sleeves and the simple elegant lines of the styles.
Dresses
That is what I am looking for in my dress. I want the romance, without being to feminine and having the beads and lace. I am not saying that I won't have any of that, I'm just saying that I don't want my dress to be full of it.
A few beads, sequins, lace, frills, sure ... I'm all for it, but I don't want to overpower the dress with them. I want simple, elegant, romantic styles and lines.
I want the traditional wedding, but at the same time, I want a simple ceremony, with a few people around that I love, to share the moment with.
I mean, after all, I want my future husband to be comfortable at our wedding as well :) This isn't just all for me. I would like it to be something that we share in creating and share in the moments we enjoy in each others presence.
I really like the way the back of this dress is. It continues with the simple yet elegant style. It gives to the dress without adding too much flair to it, simple yet elegant. These words are said over and over, but that is because that is how I feel when I look at these dresses and see the styles. It is something that I know I definitely want, and I can't say that for much right about now. Everything else is still so up in the air. I don't know what colours I want, or what kinds of flowers I want. It's all still confusing, so when I have decided on the kind of dress I want, I am happy, and I will stick to it, saying over and over again what I like about them :) It helps, cause it is one aspect that I know right now.
This dress is just about perfect. I love pretty much all of it. The sleeves are there, the lines are there, I just want a little more femininity in it. Although, the dress does have it, I feel like it needs just a little bit more. Being that I am more than average in the size department, this dress makes me feel that I can have the dress of my dreams. The more I look at this dress, the more I know that it is the one that I want. I just hope that it will look as good on me as it does the model. I guess now all I will have to do is find out my flowers and how I will do my hair, and everything else that goes along with a wedding :)
Ok, so now you have seen the dresses that I like. I still look, even though I believe I have found the dress of my dreams, but then that is not uncommon for any girl now is it :) Well, check back once in awhile to see if I have changed the selection of dresses. I am always waiting to hear any input you may have, since most of you have known me for awhile and know my likes and dislikes. Either way, thanks for looking.
Flowers
This bouquet has 5 calla lilies, fern and ivy in it. I like how they look together. It's simple and straight to the point. A bouquet like this won't overshadow a dress. You have the simplicity of having just one type of flower, with a background of greenery to give it an elegant look. The addition of a bow gives it its romantic look.
This bouquet has 5 open roses, fern, baby's breath and ivy. I also like how this bouquet looks. Once again it is a simple yet elegant arrangement of greenery. With 5 open roses, this bouquet adds the romantic touch to a perfect dress.
This bouquet has candle light open roses, with dew drops, beads and ivy. It has the addition of another colour. Still elegant and simple, this bouquet starts to take on a fuller look. This style is called a cascading bouquet. The flowers cover the stems and hide part of the hands.
This bouquet has gardenias, stephanotis, and ivy in it. Back to the simpleness of one colour, this bouquet says romance, elegance and stylishness. I can't say that I know all of the flowers in this bouquet, but I still think that it looks nice.
This bouquet has open roses, calla lilies, crocosmia, stephanotis, rosebuds, and ivy. I am a sucker for red roses, well roses in general, so you may notice a trend in my picks. I like this bouquet because of its fullness. The two colours mixing together to give it it's elegance. There is just enough greenery thrown in to give it that pulled together look.
This bouquet contains rosebuds and fern. The two colours of roses gives it a very sleek, stylish look and the presence of baby's breath gives it just that touch of romance. Once again, a very simple and elegant look.
This bouquet has rosebuds, leather fern, and baby's breath in it. This one is one of my favorites. A very pulled together look of romance, elegance, and style. I guess that I am leaning more to the roses. It just has something that pulls me towards it. I like the look of the roses with the fern.
This bouquet has snap dragons, hydrangea, roses, ivy, and baby's breath. Snap dragons were always one of my favorite flowers and finding a bouquet that includes them, well, I just couldn't pass that up.
