Welcome to the Blackhawks Armored Cavalry. As one of the oldest surviving mercenary units in the Inner Sphere, the Blackhawks have built a solid reputation as one of the finest military forces in existence. Along with the Eridani Light Horse, and the Blue Star Irregulars the Blackhawks was formed by SLDF regiments that chose not to leave the Inner Sphere with Kerensky's Exodus and wanted to preserve a fragment of the once mighty Star League.
Drawing on their long experience in the use of combined arms tactics, these former SLDF regiments now known as the Blackhawks have honed the combined arms philosophy to a razors edge. Built around "BattleGroups" the Blackhawks can field highly effective combined arms units from regimental size down to company/lance level.
Having seen action throughout the long course of the Succession Wars and against the Clans of Kerensky, the Blackhawks have savored stunning victories and weathered the storms of heartbreaking defeats. Always emerging stronger from whatever the experience, the Blackhawks have well earned their rightful place among the elite military units in the Inner Sphere. |
