The Nursery
Redecorating one of the rooms in our home to be Leah's bedroom has truly been a labor of love.

All of the office furniture was moved out of this room and it was repainted a cream color that was matched to the valances we selected for the room.  The basic theme of the room is little butterflies and flowers.

We then added chair railing around the room that was painted the same color as the walls.

Next, Grammy (my Mom) and I stenciled around the entire room using a pattern called "Whimsical Bugs".  The colors we used in the stenciling were selected to match the little flowers in the bedding.

I repainted a mantle to be hung on the wall and Pop (my Dad) came and hung it for me.

To add some more color to the room, an area rug was purchased that has butterflies and flowers on it and it is centered in the room.  It really brings out the stenciling.

To make sure that there was a bookcase in the room, I repainted an old bookcase that David and I purchased when we were first married.  It is full of books that David and I have been collecting while we wait for our referral.

Finally, we purchased furniture from Baby Italia.  It's called the Picket Fence collection and I fell in love with the crib the minute I saw it in the store.  I love how the ends of the crib look like a fence gate.
