My
Biography
For those of you who may be wondering more about me, I decided to
make this page. I hope it doesn't bore you to tears.. hahaha
The Early Years
- 1969-1970
- January
- I was born to Hal and Ann in a Brooklyn Hospital. We lived in West Islip,
NY. At this point, I met my older siblings, Charlie and Helen.
- At the age of one, I realized my first true friend. She was a black lab,
named Velvet. We did almost everything together.
The Middle Years
- 1971-1980
-
- During this time I started school in West Islip. Not only did I start
school but I have a new baby sister, Laura. Not much longer after Laura was
born, I had a new baby brother. His name is Michael John.
- It wasn't long before we moved from NY to Florida. We moved to Holiday,
Florida. I then went to an elementary school there starting in the third grade.
It was nice living closer to my grandparents. It gave me the time to get to
know my grandparents and great grandparents better.
- We lived in Florida for two years before we moved again. This move took us
to Picayune, Mississippi. Here I finished my elementary education and started
Junior High. This was a very interesting time for me. On the summer vacations
from school, we would travel with my father on his art shows. I have gotten to
see a great deal of this wonderful country of ours.
- After two years in Mississippi, we moved once again. This time we moved to
Bayou Blue in Louisanna. Talk about different worlds from living in NY.
- We moved from Bayou Blue to a little town called Houma. Where I finished
my education. I graduated in the top 20 of my class. I loved being able to
live in so many different areas but I still longed to come back to NY.
- After my graduation, I moved back to NY. Yeah, home again!!!!
Recent Events
- 1987-present
-
- After returning to NY, I started working for Carvel. It was the standing
joke that the Murray kids all worked for Carvel. My older brother work there
when he was a teen. Yes, it was for the same owners.
- After working for Carvel for a year, I became the manager of the store.
After a year, the owners sold the store to two wonderful people. I continued to
work for them. I was then managing both of their stores.
- During 1988, I met my husband. We started out as friends and now are
happily married for 6 years this October. A month before our wedding I moved to
upstate New York. I started working for a Everything $.99 store, as seasonal
help. Then the few months of our marriage, I found out that we were having our
first child. Kelly was born in August of 1992. I was now working for a retail
clothing store as one of the managers. In December of 1993, I gave birth to our
second child, Rachel. I then became the head manager of the store. I loved my
work and my children. In April of 1996, we had our third child. Bryan, he is
the only grandson on both sides of the family. After returning to work after a
month, I decided to stay home with my children. It was the best thing I could
have done for them and myself.
