Oh, yes, and I've finally kicked my butt and put together a mini Pakunoda shrine. Lots of thanks to Eve (where on *earth* do you get all these cute HxH sprites from??) for her contributions to the site *grins* Go and check out why we love this obscure HxH character to much here. ^.^
[29/01/03] - an overdose of kawaii goodness -
So .... here we go boys, onto the fashion show! ^.^
presenting the bishounens from Furuba! ... aren't they just so kawaii?
next we have the pair of cute sweet brothers from Inuyasha ^^;;
and of course, how could we forget our very own Hisoka and Killua from HxH!
then going onto the cute little spit-fire from Fushigi Yuugi ... Tasuki!
and finally, our dear Sano from Rurouni Kenshin!
Givem' a bit round of applause folks! ^.^
*grins* sure Eve, we can have satay Danchou anytime you like. Your treat or mine? Danchou: shouldn't anybody ask my opinion? Kurapika *yanks on the chain*: shuddup spider. Lia *winces in sympathy*: dang that must have hurt. ... and Eve, do another HxH layout anytime! One can NEVER have enough HxH layouts hehehe ...

Ce-chan is back from France! Ah, wished I could have gone anime shopping with her *envious* but ... HxH was out of stock *sobs* so she couldn't get that from me *sighs* oh well, seeing that half of book 14 is on the Net anyway, I suppose it doesn't really matter, it'll have to be for next time.
The good news is ... she managed to find me the I'll Artbook!! *grins* I've been dreaming of this artbook for years (serious, around 3 years at least, ever since I came to know of its existence) ... lucky!

[27/01/03] - pensive mood -
New layout. Why Yuki when there are so many other characters in Furuba I adore? (like Kyou or Ayame or Shigure or ...) Don't know really, probably because I liked the picture? Plus, I never tried pink before ^^;;
Pakunoda. Ah, one of the great characters of HxH. I will make a mini-shrine to her *determined look* ... which probably might expand into a bigger tribute to the Genei Ryodan or maybe HxH ... though I can't see what else I could do which hasn't been done by other people. Hmm ... maybe I should keep it to Pakunoda. Nice and simple. It's a pity I never saw much of the anime, because I'd really have liked to hear her voice ^.^
While I'm at it, maybe I should do an even smaller mini-tribute to Zeniba? She's the twin sister of Yubaba from the animated movie "Spirited Away" by Hayao Miyazaki and yes, she also happens to be quite ugly but somehow, I don't think that matters do you? ^.^
The right to be narcissic you say? I think I'm being pretty narcissic enough to write a blog about myself .... to myself :P , but yeah, I think I'll do it nevertheless because somehow, it sounds like fun ^^;;
Enough procrastination for today :P |
[about] Ja, or Lia is twenty-one, bespectacled and shy. She thinks life can be quite a bummer sometimes. Well, not life. Just Reality. She speaks English, French and Mandarin (but can't read it to her great despair), and has a passion for Japanese animation and mangas. Despite speculations, she is neither senile nor does she bite. Mad, on the other hand, is altogether another matter. What else? Oh. And she has the bad habit of tripping over things and has frequent bouts of memory loses. Figures.

[manga] story Have you ever heard about the story of the cat who was left out of the zodiac because he was tricked by the mouse? Well, Honda Tohry has and she has always felt pity for that animal. Shortly after a mother's death in a car accident, Tohru is forced to live alone in a tent. One day, she stumbles upon a house belonging to the Sohma family and meets one of its occupants, Shigure. She also realises that the other is none other then *gasp* Yuki, nicknamed "The Prince", the dreamboy from her class. After an incident, she moves in with them (and helps with the household chores hehehe ...). All seems quite peaceful doesn't it? Until one day, an orange-haired guy called Kyou bursts in through the roof wanting to fight Yuki. She accidently hugs him and he transforms into a cat! Turns out the Souma family (of which the guys are part) are cursed with the characters of the zodiac, meaning 12 members are cursed and take the form of one animal when hugged by a member of the opposite sex. Zaniness ensues ^.^
Thinks A hilariously funny shoujo manga/anime. Certain anime episodes had me cracked up laughing non-stop (especially those featuring Ayame). It's also very touching and very sweet. Unlike your typical shoujo manga, the focus is not centered solely on a love triangle. More than that, Fruits Basket is a story about friendship and re-discovering how good it is to have, and to be able to trust in friends. Go watch it if you can ^.^
