DON'T LET FEAR GUIDE YOU OR TAKE YOU BY THE HAND,- THERE IS MORE TO LIVING THEN THIS- PUT YOUR FEAR OUT IN FRONT OF YOU, AND LOOK IT IN THE EYE- DECIDE THAT YOU CAN CONQUER IT WITH A RATIONAL STATE OF MIND- OBSERVE IT REALISTICALLY AND SEE IN IT WHAT'S TRUE- THEN BIT BY BIT YOU WILL DISOVER POWER- AND PEACE WILL RESIDE IN YOU PRIORITIES Living with fear can disrupt your whole life, stop you from attaining your dreams, goals, even effect your family and friends. Everyone has fear, it is a natural part of our self. It is our hidden 'flight or fight' response that actually helps us in many situations. Of course if severe, you can always seek the help from a professional- but talking it out of thinking out your thouughts and looking at them realistically is important- Am I over reacting? Is this situation reallly reason enough for me to feel THIS fearful? What is the worst that could happpen if I -ie:; go try out for that job, make that speech, confront an issue with my Boss; that is neccesary, will I actually die?! No! unless you are thinking of going over Niagra Falls in a barrel, our REACTIONS to events and life around us are in OUR control. .We CAN choose the way we react to events and people aroumd us. We have the power if we practice- think OBJECTIVELY about your thougthts and feelings. Think them through, You may find that your feelings are unrealistic. Accept reality, no one is perfect, the attitude that we 'have' to be perfect will give us severe frustration . No one can make you feel any certtain way, you can choose the way you react and feel. Knowing that, and understanding your feelings, why you feel that way and useing a 'realistic approach'in your thinking will get you far. Try it. priorities. mental wellness coming soon |

TIPS: NEGATIVE THINKING- I HAVE FOUND THAT WHEN SOMETHING UPSETS ME OR MAKES ME DEPRESSED, ANGRY, FEARFUL OR ANY PICK OF MISERABLE FEELINGS THAT I/WE CAN HAVE [ EITHER BECAUSE OF PARTICULAR EVENT OR 'CHRONIC NEGATIVE THINKING], THAT BY 'TALKING TO MYSELF WHETHER IN MY MIND OR OUT LOUD (IN THE HOUSE OF COURSE) I CAN , WHILE GOING OVER EACH THOUGHT , STOP AND 'PUT THEM OUT IN FRONT' OF ME AND THINK THEM THROUGH. I DECIDE IF THIS FEELING IS 'OVER REACTION' ON MY PART, AND IF SO- PULL IT APART, LOOK AT IT OBJECTIVELY, REALISTICALLY, AND SEE WHAT I CAN AND CANNOT CHANGE. THEN I HAV E THE POWER TO ACCEPT WHAT I CANNOT, CHANGE WHAT I CAN , AND LET GO OF THE PARTS THAT MAKE ME SO MISERABLE, BECAUSE I HAVE 'RECOGNIZED' THESE THOUGHTS/BELIEFS. ONCE YOU TRY THIS OVER AND OVER, YOU HAVE THE CHOICE, YOU HAVE THE POWER OVER HOW YOU REACT, AND YOU COME TO SEE THEM AUTOMATICALLY IN A . RATIONAL WAY. LITTLE BY LITTLE YOU FIND THAT YOU LOOK AT A PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES UPON YOU WITH A REALISTIC VIEW, AND LIFE BECOMES EASIER BECAUSE ALL OF THESE 'UNNECESSARY FEELINGS ARE PUT IN PROSPECTIVE. NATURALLY WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE EVENTS THAT WILL MAKE US SAD OR FEARFUL,ETC... BUT WE DO NOT HAVE TO 'BLOW THEM OUT OF PROPORTION', LET THEM OVERCOME US AND SWALLOW US WHOLE, THINK ABOUT IT, TRY IT IF POSSIBLE. IT HELPED ME. IT DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK BUT IT CERTAINLY MAKES THINGS BETTER WHEN I HAVE CONTROL AND CAN SEE MYSELF OBJECTIVELY .*OF COURSE IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM THAT INTERFERES WITH YOUR RELATIONSHIPS, WORK, ETC...IT IS RECOMMENED THAT YOU SEEK THE ADVICE OF A GOOD THERAPIST OR DR. SOMETIMES WE NEED EXTRA HELP WITH LIFE'S TRIALS WHEN THE PAIN BECOMES SEVERE . PRIORITIES |
