| Nick(one of the Founding Fathers) and the PAU Nick's involvemen in the PAU lasted many years. He was the original PAU Visitor before the name was degraded by talented musicians, dummers (note the careful distinction), agile dancers and, oh yeah, oboists and violists (sorry Pat). What does the PAU have to do with RENT? Firstly, Nick was in the PAU. See his/her picture Here. Secondly, Adrian is (although he never admits) the Tuba player for the NSW Public Schools Symphony Orchestra. Go see pictures of "sexy" Adrian in action. More sexy pics Here. Thirdly, Patrick is also "part" of the PAU. See Pat in action Here. Natually, all members of the NYQ were at one stage in PAU. Finally, and most importantly, the PAU nutured many of the stars who come around to write and star in the musical RENT. Angel was actually a fine dancer in the PAU's Dance Company. Luisa Lyons also sung "Over the Moon" from "RENT" at the last state music camp. The saga is to be continued...... |

| HAMISH NAIRN Robs SWE1 of Glory At Nationals In a controversial incident at the National Band Championships, Hamish Nairn made the NSW's PAU SWE (Symphonic Wind Ensemble) move from "1st" to "2nd" spot, the the Junior 'A' division. Now Hamish is a nerd. At his first "Meet the Music" concert in year 9 with a note pad and pen, when most people are ingoring the advice to bing a pillow. After being announced as 1st, he counted up the ALL points scores for ALL the bands (it is out of 400) and found that SWE1 had actually come 2nd. He preceded to the judges and to the dismay of his fellow band members, he revealed his discovery. He allowed for the "undeserving" Queensland Conservatorium to take all the glory from NSW. But we did with the Senoir 'B' division! Congratutalions to the band and everyone involved for the mighty effort! MORE |
