ABOUT ME
The Basics
Hi, my name is J.T. (short for James Thomas, since I know you'll ask).  I'm 17 years old and a fresh graduate of the public school system.  I'm 5'8" and 135 pounds of All-American Whiteboy.  I have brown hair and eyes, and I'm really skinny... I used to be scrawny to the point of being skeletal (yes, that is a word and yes, I spelled it right), but now I actually have the tiniest bit of muscle mass on me so I can at least pass off as a human being.  My arms are the average lazy American (ok, a little bit) style of a little weak muscles, while my legs can make a nice solid muscle on demand (complements of putting over nearly $1000 and two years into DDR).

Yellowness
If you haven't already guessed, I have a bit of an obsession (understatement of the century right there) about the color yellow.  Don't ask me why... I just do.  Think Apple Jacks.  Anyway, I have a strong tendency to wear yellow, either clothes, hats, or sunglasses.  I have yellow AIM font.  When I play PS2 games online, my screen name is Saffon (with or without various tags).  I have a variety of nicknames, including Yella, Yellahead, Sunboy, Yellowman, and Saffron.  I'll admit, I'm not as bad as I used to be... Freshman year I was known school-wide as "the kid who wears yellow," or "Yellow Hat" by my gym glass, since I wore a yellow shirt to school every single day along with my yellow hat, and I wore my yellow hat in gym.  Although the my clothing has diversified itself of late, I still consistantly wear yellow and still sport my ever-trusty yellow hat.

"It's The Arts"
I'm an art nut.  Well, some arts.  Mostly, the performing arts.  I sing, I dance, I do all of my school plays (I'm a HUGE theatre geek), I play the clarinet, and I write poetry, short stories, fantasy novels, and music (instrumental or otherwise).  I have a general interest in some Neoclassical art movements (Realism and Cubism, to be exact), but I can't stand abstract art.  When I say "abstract," I mean when a guy draws a few squares in three different colors surrounded by a bunch of lines, and somebody pays a million dollars and gushes for ten minutes about the deep symbolism involved (cue loud coughs that sound remarkably like "BULLSHIT").  Although I'm not entirely sure about my future at college, but I'm thinking it'll have something to do with the arts.

Sports and Athletics
I'm a pretty big sports fan.  I played soccer for one year, baseball for eight years, football for seven, and tennis for one.  Where I lack in physical strength, I make up in speed.  I'm a great sprinter, but I have little endurance and never had much kindness toward track.  I'm a HUGE football fan.  My favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys, and I follow them religiously.  I have since before I can remember.  I also like NASCAR, but only the Nextel Cup (Winston got dumped!).  My favorite NASCAR driver is Ryan Newman, who I have met in person once and have a picture with him and an autograph.

Academics
Let's get this fact down now- I'm a nerd.  I like just about everything, including but not limited to science (geology, astronomy, and chemistry), math (algebra, logic, statistics), history (U.S. and Ancient European), and foreign languages (Spanish, Japanese, and Latin).  I mostly coast through all of my classes, much to the dismay of my parents.  I tried to apply myself and turn up the juice last year, but that died off quickly.  Plus the onset of true senioritis, and there's very little effort being put into my classes.  Well, that's not true. I do try... really I do.  Hey!  Stop laughing at me!

Random Activities
One of my favorite things to do is read.  I'll read just about anything, but my favorites are fantasy novels.  I have a pretty big CD collection and over 700 MP3s on my computer.  Yes, I still ignore the FCC and continue to illegally download music, but I really only download unlicensed crap anyway... I have maybe a total of 30 songs out of my 700+ song collection that were copyright protected (by the FCC, at least). If you haven't guessed by the fact that I have a fully-customized, self-made webpage, I'm a computer whiz.  I know PCs inside-out and upside-down, and I spend a lot of time surfing the web and/or IMing.  Using this glorious computer of mine, I make RPGs from scratch in my spare time. I also write stuff like crazy (see above for the list).  I'm a HUGE video game freak... I like the old-school system Intellivision (by Mattel... that says a lot), Sega Genesis (don't we all?), and PS2.  I am thoroughly convinced that Playstation 2 is the best thing ever to happen to the video game industry, and I will fight anyone who doesn't agree with me :-P. I also pack a Gamecube (thanks to Poka and Eric!), which doesn't add up to PS2's coolness but hey, it has Super Smash Bros. Melee!  I own about 50-something games each for the two old-timers, about 50 for PS1, pushing 30 for PS2, and a grand total of 4 for Da Cube (to say nothing of the 75+ games for PC I have).  Point made?  I think so.  One other thing worth mentioning... I'm a rather big fan of Konami's hit Dance Dance Revolution... but more on that in the DDR page.
