EXECUTIVE COURSE
· We need an executive course instead of another championship course · I really hope the 3rd golf course will have “executive course” tees and provisions LADIES DAY PLAY · Cater to women – ie, demo clubs for women. (We go to Golf on the Square now and we buy from them.) · I would like to see more respect for ladies day on Tuesdays. I came here from a country club that gave ladies adequate time for their day with out being pushed or crowded. At this time I am now head of my household and pay the same amount as a man as do many of the women members. I know many of the staff try to help but there should be rules. I don’t see the ladies try to push the men on Wednesday · I would like to see Legacy open on Tuesdays, ladies days FOOD AND BEVERAGE · Our courses should provide friendly efficient “snack bar” type food service to golfers. This should include “19th hole” service. Restaurants are fine but serving the golfers is paramount. · The elimination of cups at the water stations has been particularly hard on guests and outside players. This problem needs to be solved. · More drinking water on more holes · We are losing money by not having a coffee shop in the pro shop at LH · Why aren’t drinking fountains monitored and functional daily. · Why can’t water be at ice stations · Pro shop and lack of amenities, no more vending machines that keep your coins and fail to deliver product and a snack window at both courses would be great or a snack cart on the courses. · We don’t even have a cup for ice and water for guests who come to play in our events SAND TRAPS · The condition of the sand traps on both golf courses are deplorable. · Adequate sand in traps and rakes that are not broken · Remove 60% of all sand traps · Sand traps are terrible · The bunkers on Legacy Hills have not sand depth and when they are wet they are very poor · Work sand traps more on WW · We have too many sand traps – require to much maintenance · Reduce the # of sand traps · There are many traps on Legacy that do not come into play and were only built to sell houses or for some reason only Billy C knows. And some that are just too hard for golfer here · Replace sand in traps · Sand traps less severe. Removal of trees in from of traps such as fairway bunkers on #2 and 3 at WW · Need more rakes · Too many high maintenance same traps which are unnecessary for good play · Suggest eliminating some sand traps ie LH fairway right side trap #7 and behind #7 also and some of the many traps on #18 LH. · To reduce maintenance, the areas around the sand bunkers should slop away from the boundary for the new course. We receive far too much rain to have the area slope inward to catch rain GREENS · The greens on Legacy Hills need to be changed and a more up to date type of grass installed. · The greens are sanded too much · Too bumpy · Areas around greens are frequently bare · Rough around greens too tall · Greens at LH should be redone · The greens on both courses are aerated too often with obsolete equipment which apparently requires so much sand they are often unplayable for several days. · Legacy Greens need work – bumpy – very spotty grass · Should have more “false fronts” on greens · Please either allocate funds from the 3rd golf course or use reserve funds to replace the greens at Legacy Hills · Greens at Legacy Hills should be replaced – WW good · Fix the greens so we can putt · I would hope the management company will consider resurfacing the greens at Legacy Hills. The 328 Bermuda is an awful putting surface · Use enough sand when top dressing. Verticut greens more to take out grain in summer · Need to have a second cut of grass around greens. On elevated greens this would really help balls just short of the green from rolling back down and help speed up play · Can the greens at Legacy be speeded up to be consistent or near consistent with WW. Would verticutting be the answer? · The conditions of the greens are the worst in the area. Public courses I have played are better · Shows poor green supt performance when greens are sanded looks like a bunch of amateurs perform the work. Poor job of sanding causes greens to be bumpy and uneven grass |
