| MY MUSIC PAGE |
| I admit, this is a rather bizarre picture for my music page, but there is some meaning behind it. For me, playing my instruments is like entering a whole different world. It is a passion; my most intimate, deepest form of expression. Music is more articulate than words can ever be for me. My greatest joy is in song writing. I write many times out of necessity, out of a need to express the joys and sorrows of life. It is a therapeutic thing to create lyrics and melodies that convey what has been bottled up in my heart for months, sometimes weeks. But more than therapy, it is an exercise of surrender and obedience as I allow God to heal and touch me as he inspires me through words & music. May my life be an instrument with which the Lord plays beautifully. |

| bio: Music has been an unwavering passion for Shermeen. At 15, she completed her ARCT Piano Performer's Degree from the Royal conservatory of Music. A year later, Shermeen earned her Grade 10 RCM Violin Diploma. Since then, her love of music has led to performances with several groups including the Welsh Symphonia, Willingdon Church Orchestra, a string/woodwind quartet, and an international folk muisc ensemble. Shermeen also has played the trombone and experimented on the saxophone. However, her real passion lies in song writing and leading Praise & Worship on guitar & violin with acoustic bands. At present, she finds herself being 'lost in the moment' playing her violin, recording with various projects, and performing her original songs at various coffee houses. |

The song "when trouble comes", written in 1999 after my 3rd concussion is recorded on the first CD (+ a violin track). 2 other songs of mine are on the 2nd CD.
