I recently read a thread in a hamster forum where someone queried about the need for adoption fees, saying it is as good as selling your hams. For me, the adoption fee is to try to defray some costs of the hams upkeep but more importantly, it's to deter unscrupulous people who are trying to get free hams to resell them or worse, getting them to feed their reptiles! That aside, I really don't think any home breeders in sg can expect to make a profit trying to breed & sell hams here. Come on, there are definitely better ways to make money out there than from your pets!
Shimmy & Zorro became proud parents to 4 gorgeous babies (2 girls & 2 boys) on 8 Apr 09. I will probably be keeping the 2 boys (Charlie & Darlie). The babies are all very tame and cute!
Shine Shine & Zorro (an on-loan LH sable male) became parents to 4 adorable babies (3 girls & 1 boy) on 18 Feb 09. 2 have been adopted & I will probably keep the other 2 (Noona & Sunbae). A picture of them at 2 weeks old is shown below :)
Iggy & Shimmy (their pics are below) became proud parents to 9 beautiful babies (5 girls & 4 boys) on 15 Aug 08. Most of the babies have been adopted but I have given in to my hoarding instinct and kept 2 of the girls (White White & Shine Shine), hahaha....
Paris gave birth on 2 Jul 08, Nicole gave birth on 9 Jul 08 & Kimmy gave birth on 7 Sep 08. Most of the babies have gone to good homes (I hope!). I am keeping a girl (Lucky) from Nicole & a boy (Mr Q) from Kimmy.
