I caught Brutus and Salt mating recently. They looked kinda inexperienced but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm going to get some robolets from them soon.
New Bam Bam, Baxendale, Yuki and Peppa have all since found new homes. Yeah, there were simply too many robos for me to handle. Kinda sad, but life goes on I suppose...so for the six robos and the eleven winter whites that have left us, may they always be happy wherever they are!
On 27th Sept 2001, my most beautiful female robo, Pebbles, gave birth to five robolets.
On 8th Oct 2001, Salt, after giving Brutus a hard time with the courtship, gave birth to five robolets. It was a muted celebration though as her sibling, Seiko, (Bobo's companion), passed away rather suddenly. Sob Sob... I'm sure Seiko is in a better place now. Bobo has since found a new bride called BB. No prize for guessing what her name stands for :P
On 12th Oct 2001, Pepsi gave birth again.This time to three little robolets. Sad to say, five day later, the babies were all gone. I'm pretty sure it's because Pepsi couldn't cope with another litter so soon after her first successful litter. Anyway, it was such a sad day to discover the three robolets all gone, sob...
On 30th Oct 2001, Salt gave birth to her second batch of robolets. I think there were three babies, but like Pepsi, it was another case of having a litter too soon, and two of the robolets did not make it :-(
On 2nd Nov 2001, Pebbles gave birth again! Pebbles had a good rest and there were six robolets this time.
On 24th Nov 2001, Pepsi gave birth to seven robolets! Her biggest litter ever!
Between 28th Nov and 2nd Dec 2001, both Pebbles and BB gave birth! Pebbles had seven babies!
Sad to say, none of BB's babies made it. I suppose it's because BB's really a young mother and she's not prepared for child-rearing yet. (A sad update: BB crossed the rainbow bridge while trying to deliver her second litter, sob sob.....
On 17th Dec 2001 (I think), Pepsi gave birth to her sixth litter! She is just so productive! There were five babies but only four made it :-(
On 26th Dec 2001, Salt gave birth again to seven robolets!
On 5th Jan 2002, Pepsi gave birth to four robolets but none made it, sob....
Between 7th to 11th Jan 2002, Pebbles gave birth to five robolets, yippee!
On 26th Jan 2002, Pepsi gave birth to her eighth litter! Amazing huh. Four babies made it this time.
On 28th Jan 2002, Pebbles gave birth again to four robolets.
On 6th Feb 2002, Salt gave birth to another large litter of seven babies!
On 17th Feb 2002, while nursing her four young, Pebbles gave birth to another three more robolets :-)
On 9th Mar 2002 (I think), Pepsi gave birth to her ninth litter (five boys)! We wonder if she will ever stop producing.
On 4th Apr 2002 (I think), Pebbles gave birth to four babies. This is her seventh litter!
On 17th Apr and 8th May 2002, Pepsi gave birth to her tenth and eleventh litters respectively!
On 7th Jul 2002, after a long break, Salt gave birth to another batch of three robolets :-)
Robos love toilet rolls. They hide in them, run about them and thru them. You can easily pick up a robo using a toilet roll too! So next time, don't throw away your toilet rolls, keep them for the robos.
I stopped keeping robos in 2002 but started again in Mar 2008. Got 3-wk old siblings Paris & Nicole (normal robos) on 29 Mar, 3-wk old Timmy (WF robo) on 15 Apr and 4-wk old Kimmy (WF robo) on 10 Aug.
