Hamster Hoarder
My Syrians I
Home
Well, I've started keeping syrians again in October, 2001. Though not as clean as the robos, the syrians are much more handleable. Yup, they are much more fun to play with :-)

On 9th Dec 2001, I acquired two more syrians. A hard to find male silver sable (Bao Bao) & an extremely adorable female hammy (Girl Girl). I'm not too sure of their ages though but Bao Bao was said to be around four months old. They are also long haired hammies. Sad to say, Girl Girl cross the rainbow bridge a week after I got her. Her demise was sudden and it really saddens me much, sob...

My Syrians I
On 28th Feb 2002, I finally got my first short haired syrian. She's a really pretty and chubby satin mink hammy, and was previously kept as a pet by the pet shop owner herself! Ok, maybe she's not all that little, you should see the amount of food she can stuff into her cheek pouch. Anyway, she's called Goldie and she is around 4 months old.

Girl Girl and Hammy
On 19th Jan 2002, two beautiful long haired silver sables came into my possession. They are so adorable and tame! One's named Girl Girl in memory of the much missed hammy that has passed on and the other's called Princess. This pair of siblings are around 2 months old.

New Girl Girl, isn't she just adorable?
Tips!

Syrian hamsters leave tough stains on their cages. I found out that by putting a little bit of vinegar on the stains, they come off very easily with a light scrub.
You should try it too!
