The Painters' Studio

      The Painters' Studio was established in Kelowna. BC in 1992, when waiting lists to other art groups were quite lengthy. At its inception, sixteen art students taking a watercolour class together, decided to form their own group. Over the years, the group's members branched out from watercolour to include many different media in their repertoire.

           The Painters' Studio artists are committed to ongoing growth in their expertise through classes,
workshops, exhibitions and programs within the Studio itself. The group has held many shows over the years, and donated proceeds from a raffled painting to the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan (formerly KADAC). In 2002 The Painters' Studio received an honorary membership of the Arts Council.

        Artists in The Painters' Studio include: Bonnie Anderson, Carole Buckland, Colleen J. Dyson, Judi Kowalchuk, Marina Leisen, Glenda MacQuarrie, Jean Monteith, Irene St. Laurent, Dianne Schnieders, Bonnie Sheppard, Anita Skinner, Bonnie Weber, Rebekah Wilkinson, Gladys Wilson and     remaining founding member, Yvonne Morrish.
