After coming to the Mediterranean from South Africa in 1986, the boat was used mainly as a family vacation cruising yacht.
Zinga has been wintered on the hard for an average of 10 months a year ever since then and has therefore had very little use for her age.

Zinga underwent a major refit in 2005/2006 during which the teak decks were relaid and superstructures repainted.
