Driving Pet Peeves
       Ok, here we go.

1. You know those lights that use traffic sensors to change the lights? Have you ever come up to one that was red for you, but there is no traffic on the cross street? Well, there are two reasons that happens. The first reason is perfectly acceptable, the second is not. The first reason is someone comes to the light and makes a right turn on red (which is legal in most states). The second is some IDIOT turns left from the street you are on, and clips the traffic sensor by cutting the corner, otherwise known as lazy and inconsiderate.

2.   I mentioned this one in my top ten list, but it bears repeating. You are on a multi-lane highway, and there are two or more semi-trucks ahead of you side-by-side at a light, and they seem to be having an affair right there on the road. In other words, running side-by-side down the road, neither one going faster than the other, and taking a mile or so to get up to speed. OR, even worse, only one truck and some Sunday driver doing the same thing!!

3.   Here is what burns me the most. These same Sunday drivers, and the semi-trucks, if I manage to get by them, end up passing me (I am at least doing the speed limit), which means they are now speeding. I want a bumper sticker for the front of my car that says: If you can read this, YOU'RE SPEEDING!

4.   That reminds me. What is the deal with EVERYONE speeding these days? Used to be, I was the only one (I thought) speeding (which I have since stopped doing since I got caught doing it, and got my license suspended because I didn't have insurance),  now everyone seems to be doing it. I read somewhere that this state (no, I am not telling which, because it's probably not the only one) has some of the most inconsiderate drivers, as in when coming to a yellow light, they speed up to get through, instead of trying their best to stop.

5.   How about those who are not doing the speed limit until you get beside them to pass, and then they speed up to keep you from passing (or are they just trying to piss me off)? Especially when they are in the fast lane (you know that slower traffic is supposed to use the left lane... don't you)?

6.   This one really makes me mad. Does no-one know or remember that bicycles are subject to the same traffic laws as cars? In some states, you still need a license to operate one on the streets. This one is not only illegal, it is dangerous.
