Enough already! I want to be able to call a spade a spade*! I mean, we have laws about libel and slander, right? Isn't that enough to protect people's rights? Besides, I think this is one reason that our country is going down the tubes. We can't say what we mean anymore. I think that leads to no-one respecting us. Take, for example, the ESPN-Rush Limbaugh debacle. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Mr. Limbaugh is perfect, but that incident was totally blown out of proportion. I agree with his statement that the media is trying its' best to include the African-Americans in the ranks of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. I think that an athelete should get there on his own abilities, not on a desire by the media to be politically correct. Same thing with job applicants and college admissions and everything else that requires skill or education to merit inclusion. Forget about a person's race! How about judging a person on what he/she knows and doesn't know?! How about giving EVERY person an equal opportunity? If I owned a business and was looking to hire someone, I would want that person to be worth the money I would pay them! I should NOT have to hire someone because of what race they are.
