Carry On’s!...Who doesn’t know what a ‘Carry On’ film is? Well in Britain at least. From the Day Peter Roger thought of making ‘Carry On Sergent’ he was onto a winning formula. What with great scripts and great stars he produced 31 of the ‘Carry On’s‘. The films were Produced by Peter Rogers and Directed by Gerald Thomas. Norman Hudis did screenplay on the first 6 ‘Carry On's’ then Talbot Rothwell went on to take over with the next 20 films. Then following him Dave Freeman did screenplay on ‘Carry On Behind’ and ‘Columbus‘. David Pursall and Jack Seddon did screen play on ‘England’. Tony Church on ‘That's Carry On’. And Emmannuelle screenplay was done by  Lance Peters. Pinewood studios was the location where most of these films would be produced. And what a magical place Pinewood is!... Through these films most us discovered the great range of actors  that brought us so many hours of Laughter. Kenneth Williams, Sid James, Hattie Jacques, Patsy Rowlands Joan Sims, Kenneth Conner, Bernard Bresslaw,  Peter Butterworth, Leslie Phillips, Charles Hawtrey and many more. What a great combination they were together. Each individual was a great asset to the films. Myself I couldn't imagine the films without any individual  no matter how small or large their roles each person brought a touch of magic which makes these films so loveable.  That is why Peter Rogers is right when saying no one person makes the ‘Carry On's‘. Because each person plays a equally important part in the films. Sadly we have lost many of the stars from the Carry On's as they have passed away  but shall never be forgot as these films continue to attract new generations. And this is how I see them to continue. These warm friendly films that have some of Britain's most loveable stars such as Sid James and Hattie who always make you feel homely. That's what makes these films so popular, They take you to a place that doesn't exist. But in some funny ways you wish it did.
