Updates -------------- April 16th 2006 - Singin' In The Rain

Welcome to Ulysses Denherder's Tome of Egomania.  Here is my own little corner of the InterWebHighway where I can spend my time bemoaning how crap my life is, brag about all my achievments and write a whole host of crap that no-one is going to be particularly interested in.  But they should be, because I'm brilliant.  Oh yes, this is unlike all those other blogs that you come across out there.  This is no common or garden variety journal, this is something special.  Because this is about Ulysses Denherder.  That makes it unique.  No other page is about Ulysses Denherder.  Unless you count my LiveJournal.  Which sort of is, although I don't go by the name of Ulysses Denherder on there.  Well, that's the justification part over.  In all honesty, this is as self-indulgent and pretentious as every other online diary, but I know it is, which kind of makes it OK.  In my eyes anyway.  You never know, you may come across some pearls of wisdom, or some little facts that at least make you feel better about your life.  What you get out of reading this is entirely up to you.  You can read it in the traditional Gen-X way and mock me, my writing style and the things that worry me but I'm far more Gen-X than you so it doesn't bother me.  Any pity that you can direct my way would be much appreciated, but not essential.  No, this is just another place where I can gather my thoughts for others to laugh at. This page has been around for a while now, but I'm in the process of overhauling it and will be updating it again.  Lets do a little breakdown of what you can find on here: As always, there's an About Me section, although I haven't written it yet, so you may have to wait a bit.  You can read about my thoughts on Desire, which isn't as lustful as it sounds.  Perhaps you're more interested in what I'm up to at the moment, in which case, the Existence section is where you should be headed.  There's also a FAQ, which is very out of date, but I quite like it so its staying.  There's also those things that make me experience Happiness, as well as an explanation of my unhealthy obssession with Harley Quinn.  Then there's the Life Archive, which was the entire reason for putting this thing up all those months ago, after I broke up with my girfriend.  Yes, pathetic I know.  This is the part where you should be pitying/mocking me.  Its the diary thing, from ages ago.  You can read about the People I know, and maybe see some pictures of them.  Stuff is a random dumping ground for things that amused me at the time.  Finally, there's my little pseudo-essay on Wrestling????? which was written (as was most of the rest of the crap up here) under the influence of rum.  Nevertheless, I like it.  I think it explains why I like wrestling well.  Enjoy.

Today's Thoughts

Well, it's been 366 days since I last updated this place, but I'm glad I did.  Hell, I've always enjoyed having this thing here anyway, but it gives me a chance to do something a little more than I can do on my LiveJournal.  It may not be the most impressive webpage out there, but I feel quite happy about it. Anyway, the update:  Ah yes, Singin' In The Rain.  Other than the brief dalliance with the issue in the Life Archive back whenever it was that I watched it, I've never really tried to get to rips with why I enjoy the film so damn much.  So, for my entertainment (what the hell, maybe yours too) here is the latest pseudo-essay.  Singin' In The Rain: A Ulysses Denherder Perspective.
