Conclusion 9 Nov 2003 Well wat has it come to? How has it ended? Unfortunatly for some of us it hasn't but For 'WS' it has. Followin up on Strez's letter to head office. Supposably they didn't take it seriously (cowards). Vianney told of how "If Strez doesn't appologise then i'm goin 2 send all his written warnings to Target(new job)". yeh im sure they will take "NOT WEARIN BLACK SOCKS" really seriously. After a long talk between Strez and Malu it seems that the situations have ended & nothing further will b done & after previously sayin "strez just thinks of himself" Malu has decided to throw a goin away party for strez, shall be interestin.. Since his departure the only major changes have been to the D/T greetin which is 'Welcome to the best KFC in Au, u hav been aknowledged'. On other news. Apparently Maccer slept with Blurrs boyfriend wen she was sleepin right next to him. Now Maccer & the mysterious boy are ENGAGED! "We have a strong connection" Maccer told, well i'm sure she would after they...... Blurr was callin Maccer a slut, but for some strange reason they were out shoppin 2gether the next week. News about 'The Wicked Witch' Suzanne. Suzi has been moved to the midland for her managment course. But it was revealed by a source that she is to be fired in a weeks time. It is sed that she cant handle the position of manager, that she is too slow and too well crap, which isn't hard to imagine. Well there goes her ambitious dreams of becomin a manager. Anne was told she couldn't work unless she took off her bracelet. She told him she'd leave but Vianney got scared and let her keep it on, i dont think they want to risk anymore strong workers doin a walk out. Well the time has come to say goodbye. Wat a year it has been full of stories, scandals and memories to last a lifetime.Heres to *WHITE SOCKS*, the great entertainer. Adieu, adieu adieu. |

Open the new door & close the one behind. 15 Oct 2003 Uniforms folded up, badge removed, hat off, all placed in a neat lil pill in it's original home. Pfft yeh right. Strez: "I'm gonna burn the shirt in a tribal gatherin, FUK U KFC AHAHAHA". Yes it's offically over for Strez. He left unexpectedly tellin only a fair few of his departure, them lucky to have the final shift with the man, the legend that is STREZ. Strez couldn't have left at a better time. He had taken his holiday pay and he'd already turned 19 so it was at a higher rate, Fan is on leave, travis is on leave, Steve quit a while back, other ppl are on leave, the new trainees aren't trained up yet. But the main thing is that 3 of the main staff are either on leave or quit. Fanchini had to go to hospital for surgery, Travis also may need plastic surgery on his hand after badly cutting himself. There goes 2 full-timers, and Strez, one of the strong people, has left the game as well. Who are there strongest people now? Jamal? yeh well by the way that place is goin i wouldn't b suprised. Strez gave one week notice by handing in his letter of resignation. It wrote in big black letters across the middle of the page 'I QUIT!' and thats it. Of corse Vianney rang up to ask what exactly Strez meant by this, uum well i think it's pretty clear. Now whos in the deep end. Strez also wrote a letter to head office talkin bout the car dent insident that occured a few weeks back. Strez made a secret investigation and found shocking facts about the car parkin policies. It turns out that, and to quote, :'Have members of the resturant team move there cars to a lighted area near the front of the restaurant'. The time of the car dentin was at night. The letter shall be recieved by head office tomorrow morning, we'll keep you updated. So here is the exclusive letter that Strez sent to head office: |

To Whom It May Concern: Hi my name is Chris Strzelecki. I am 19 and a worker at KFC Beechboro and have been for the last four years. Now I’m writing to bring something to your attention. You see most of my wage goes towards my one prized possession, my car, and although I don’t make much I decided to follow my hobby in automotives and save up and buy a quite decent car instead of splurging it on cigarettes or the latest drug available. On the 5th of September 2003 I was working a night shift till 9:00pm or so. When I finished and went to my car I was completely horrified to see that someone had kicked in my car and left a great big dent. I know it was a person and not a car because a panel beater told me, there where no scratches to indicate another car accidentally hit it. My cars alarm system was activated, I know this because it informs you when you get in the car. But I was to far away to hear and see it go off, I was inside, working. The manager on shift, Malu, told all the staff to move there cars to the front of the store. I suppose it was a bit late for that, but at least she took the matter seriously and tried to do something about it. Now I would usually park at the front of the store because I was always paranoid of anything happening to my car. But I was told by one of the managers in particular not to park there ever again and after being told I would receive bad credit against my name or even lose my job if I parked there again I decided to listen as my wages, as low as they are, were still important to me. After the incident I decided to parked at the very front of the store so that I could see my car and hear the alarm sound. Some managers didn’t say anything to me parking there and in fact encouraged it. I turned up for work one Tuesday morning and parked at the front as usual. Before I had time to get out of my car the manager on shift came up to me and told me to move my car. I said no. I wasn’t about to let my car get vandalized again. But he was having none of it. He told me to move my car or not to bother coming into work, so I drove away. After that I received a phone call from the manager asking if I was going to park my car there again tomorrow night on his shift. I told him yes because I didn’t make enough money to keep repairing it and the company sure as hell wasn’t going to pay for it. Later that night I receive another phone call this time from the store manager. He told me I wasn’t allowed to park there, that it was for customers only. When I explained that there was nothing stating it was for customers only, he laughed and told me I had to obey his orders or there really wasn’t a point in me working there. I came in the next day to further discuss the issue and even to reveal that it was actually more convenient for the customers not to park at the front at night because when it’s busy they are blocked in by other cars waiting in the drive through queue hence letting there food go cold. But once again I wasn’t taken seriously and was told the same thing so I had no choice but to park somewhere else. Since then I have had little things stolen from the outside of my car. My shifts where also cut down after that discussion. I know now that I didn’t in fact have a right to park there during the day but I did however have every right to park there at night. What I later found out through some further investigation was that I was in fact allowed to park at the front after dusk which was when the dent incident occurred. You see the managers knew about the incident but had failed to look into it and do anything about it. It was not their problem, I shouldn’t have bought such an expensive car is what one of the managers told me. One manager, Malu, at least tried to look into it but didn’t find anything. But if you look at page 11 on Security of the management manual volume 4, you will see that it clearly states: ‘Have members of the restaurant team move their cars at dusk to a lighted area near the front of the restaurant’. It also continues on page 17 with a scenario of staff moving there cars at dusk even if it’s busy, obviously stressing that staff security is important. I have attached photocopies of these pages so you can see for yourself. Now if you come to our store you’ll see about a hundred problems, most of which I’ve tried to point out to the management but as usual nothing is ever done about it. Well now I’m telling you to do something about it. I have worked in KFC Beechboro for over 4 years and in that time I have made a couple of mistakes but I have also tried to make it a better working environment. All of my efforts of course have gone unnoticed. That’s why I have decided to leave the company. I was not treated to my deserving and in a place like fast food where you don’t make much money at all I believe you should at least be treated with a bit of respect, especially at the age of 19. So when you put it all down you in fact owe me a repair job, but I know that’s not going to happen. But if you aren’t going to do anything for me at least take a bit of interest into what actually goes on in the store, get the management more informed about things that’s what your there for and that’s what they’re getting paid for, to see that everything runs well and smoothly and give credit where it’s needed. You have a C.h.a.m.p.s system for the workers why not one for the managers. Customer service and fair trade in Perth alone is going down hill, this is a warning, don’t let it happen to you as well. If you have any further queries you can contact me on ********. Yours truly, Chris Strez. |
