Hello again from the Europe travelers searching out their lives!!

Today happens to be a cold, miserable wet Sunday (hardly a day to enjoy the weather!) and reminiscing about our trip so far to you sounds like a good idea. SO... put up your feet, grab a cup of whatever, and enjoy the show!

The last event that we mentioned in the previous e-mail was our trip to the opera house to see a ballet. After this evening we left the Nellers and, Believe It Or Not, we found this hostel which was co-ed and had no curfew! It was the cheapest one that we could find. We had some apprehension about it to begin with since the
bedroom had 12 beds,  - single and double, three levels high! We had no idea what to expect - would something occur that our poor, virgin eyes and ears could not handle?!! Courageously we ventured into the kitchen, which was bustling with activity. We needed to make supper with the groceries we had just purchased. As Dana retreated to take a shower, brave Becky proceeded to cook the food. By the end of the night we had made several friends, and Believe It Or Not everyone was in bed by midnight!! Our fears were subsiding (If you haven't guessed by now, Believe It Or Not was the name of the hostel.)

Sunday morning came, and we had a date - with the Vienna Boys' Choir - who sang at the Hofburg Chapel Mass service. The rest of that cold and dreary morning, feeling quite forlorn since there was a lock-out at the hostel until noon, we rode the underground subway for two hours, familiarizing ourselves with parts of the city we hadn't yet seen.

The afternoon found us hustling across the city to a church outside Vienna. A baptismal service was taking place here for people from the Neller's church, (which happens to be the only Mennonite church in Vienna). Becky and Sarah Neller played a violin duet near the end of the service. - And then vhot?!! . . .
